Need improved communication mechanism (mail, chat, etc.) for Clan Wars participants
With the opt-out feature it is now possible to have only 10 members in a 50-member clan participating in a war. Moreover, the war participants could also be temporarily away from the clan visiting sister clans, request-and-leave clans, etc.
The current communication mechanisms in the game (clan chat, clan mail) are no longer adequate for this reason:
Clan mails do not reach those participants that are temporarily away from the clan (and even if they come back I believe they would still not see the mail and the sender may not be able to re-send due to the time restriction). Moreover, since not everyone in the clan may be participating in the war, war-specific messages would only clutter up those non-warring members' mailboxes for no reason.
Clan chat gets cluttered up with a lot of (non-war) chatter, so unless someone constantly follows it important information could easily get buried or lost.
I'll leave it up to Supercell to improve the system but I think it would be great to have a new communication mechanism that addresses the above shortcomings and that can be used to reach out to all war participants.
Here are a couple of suggestions that come to mind but there are undoubted many ways to improve the current system:
Option 1: Add a "send war message" function that can be used to broadcast a message to all war participants, regardless of whether they are still in the clan or temporarily away visiting another clan. This message would typically be used for war-specific stuff like attack targets, strategy, etc and members who are not warring would not be receiving it.
Option 2: Have some sort of "war chat" (e.g. instead of the current global/clan chats when on the war map or as a separate tab in addition to "Global" and "Clan" whenever a war is in progress) where only members of the current war could chat (even those that are temporarily in another clan, e.g. sister clan or request-and-leave clan).
