I dont know if this idea has been thrown up before, so forgive me if it has.
To make spells a little bit more interesting, how about they have an ability power (like heroes) at max levels. So like heroes, they have a power bar. Lets say for example you are using rage spell. You’ve used a quarter of its power, but a troop on the end of the map is struggling to knock out a defence. So you hit its ability power and it acts like a tidal wave going across the whole map, through every troop.
The only catch is it chews twice as quick as it normally would
It can be used against every spell except jump. Lightning spells, the whole map gets hit but does very minimal damage. freeze spell, everything gets frozen but only for a second or two. I think it could be perfect upgrade. It could make or break a war attack. Use it too soon, and you might use a rage attack to quick that it doesn’t do enough overall damage as it normally would have.
It just adds a bit more spice to the game and makes things more interesting.
if you wanted to make it even more interesting have it so on its ability, it affects only certain troops for example. golems but not pekkas when someone is using gowipe, or affects loons but not lava hounds in lavaloonian. These seem to be the two majority attack tactics, so lets make things more interesting.
