The revenge system is largely broken.
And I don't think this is a topic that should be closed off from discussion. Especially with how much some of us have spent on this game.

Yup, you done been revenge zapped. Only thing wrong with that picture is the fact that it doesn't frick'n tell you! Really! Can't someone have the courtesy to program in, "Revenged!!11!1!" or something in there? Ok, sure, I get it, it is kind of rare, and almost a useless feature, but at least be nice enough to say you've been troll zapped back.

Speaking of revenge... This was back when I was TH7

I felt honnered and amused in a twisted sort of way that I got my Dark Elixir Zapped a few times, and you know why? It means you are too strong for them to take it in any other way. It means that if they zapped you first, you can revenge attack back. It means that they are collecting Dark Elixir the hard way, but collecting it nonetheless. It means... they can be ripe for being raided at some point, and they already sent you the invite to thier base saying "I'm weak and desperately collecting loot."

It is strategically unsound to zap my Dark Elixir Storage, because if you are worth raiding after striking me first with lightning on my prized Dark Elixir Storage, I will be coming for you... it is only a matter of time... my Defense Log has a long memory... and your village with be blackened to the color of the Dark Elixir I want back from the fiery breathes of my dragon army.

Unfortunately now, I'm kinda religated to just revenge zapping, just to get my damned Dark Elixir back. I especially troll people that use like some overpowered, frick'n clan war army, just to get my DE. So I wait.. wait.. and then zap back when it is most ripe, do some opportunity attacks, and then attack thier Town Hall for a snipe, but quit just 100-200 HP short of breaking, and dump trophies, and give them no shield.

Sometimes I wish I had some marker on my base showing just how mean I can get, even if it is some other TH9 or TH10 throwing thier weight around. I know how to revenge attack, and I will try to have my revenge when I can take back the most I can.

he was ok. Actually way better than most. He did not play the butt hurt kid thing on us and even though he hated the explanation he seems to have accepted its reality somewhat gracefully. I would never expect him to write back "yippee, now that I understand I will be happy getting zapped" so his response was as decent and mature as we could ever hope for.

I hope he sticks around with those graphic talents of his. Lets face it, he is pretty good at that.

I saved the 'long explanation' so it can be pasted in the future. Its a lot of work to type that up which is why so many of us get sick of explaining it over and over (hence the curt responses), especially to guys that usually insult us in return for our trouble.

a 'not a very inefficient strategy'? Sounds about right to me Got to use up that extra Elixir that suddenly came about for some reason because of some walk issue. So yeah, when against people that hit cap for DE lootable amounts of DE, it can be quite effective.

I just don't think this idea is game breaking. The way it is makes it so those who gained their DE with a proper raid are discouraged. Are we actually supposed to play this game?
They might as well have just gone around with lightning spells. Why play the game when you can just tap the screen a few times? right?

Gaining De by proper raid discouraged? No it's not but that doesn't mean this is the only way to obtain DE

I really don't agree that it IS an "attack strategy". And i'm not trying to "dictate how a person should and shouldn't be allowed to attack" I would simply like to be allowed an option to defend. there is no defense for this.

if he initiates an attack on your village it is considered an attack. even if he just drops a heal spell on your base it's still an attack.

Just skimming through, I can tell they got the same messages several times. Stop beating the dead horse... the horse being the OP's head.

As someone that revenge zaps, because it is the very few viable options left for resource recovery, of course it's going to be enraging, that's part of the point of a pointed revenge attack!

Surprised no one found it fitting to say that someone that gets raided horribly by a higher level Town Hall person, feeling miffed at how vulnerable and ineffective thier defence is, is still able to instill some of the same feeling in return back onto the persin that raided them with such an attack. Personally, I think that's great. Makes revenge attacks worth it. Otherwise, it is a moot point to have those barely functioning buttons in the first place.

And yes, that means later on, I could be zapped as well, and then it'd be my problem, rightfully on the other side of things.

If you really want something to help keep from getting revenge zapped, ask for a system that shows how mean the village is in revenge attacks. Personally, I'd like to have some power over my loss of Dark Elixir, like anyone else here.
