I think the OP is trying to say:

1) started spell upgrade
2) started lab upgrade

Both were supposed to take the same time... but the lab finished, and there was time left on the spell upgrade...

But then s/he spent the saved elixir on the drill. The timer on the heal spell moved up so it was done in 20 min.

So s/he is mad about upgrading his/her drill and not barbs...

We had a thread on this a while ago and I can't find it. Someone said that upgrades pause, but another had pictures of it not being that way anymore. The upgrade in the lab is done, but the timer says it isnt... until 20-30 min later.

To the OP: don't be mad, it's just a game. The drill was a good upgrade. Go back to farming and don't get angry.

to be fair... when any of us rant on about something on a forum, we all sound 12 years old.

OP: if something like that were to happen to someone who is more hardcore... they would just deal with it and farm up things without complaining. Us casuals are the ones that complain more. Hardcore players tend to whine about "how easy the game is becoming" or "why did you mess with the heroes so much" or "Give me new content or I am leaving"

The last one isn't exclusive to the hardcore but you get the point.

When your lab finishes, it will show the upgrade still isn't done. But if you restart CoC or do an attack, then the upgrade automatically finishes, if it was supposed to be finished by the time lab upgrade finished.

It happened to me too, when i hit TH9 i immediatly upgraded lab while Pekka was being researched (three days to go). When the upgrade finished. P.E.K.K.A stated there were still almost three days research remaining and I remembered having read about this previously, so i went on an attack, and when i returned P.E.K.K.A research had finished.

This is a bug that contradicts the wiki and only works when the time remaining in lab research is shorter than labs upgrade. Glad it happened that way, 3 days less research.

COC i upgraded my lab and heal spells at the same time and when my lab was done i had enough to upgrade barbarians and it showed i had 2 days 12 hours left on my heal spells which were going to level 4 then 20 minutes later i build my 2 de drill and my lab is free i was planning on getting a tesla and upgrading my barbs thanks to you i had to waste 1 hour farming for resources.Farming for 1 hour not a big deal is it but if this happened to higher level players they would go mad

I'm really not sure what you mean. Are you complaining about an hour farming to upgrade your barbs? If you can get the resources in an hour I'd say that is good. My barbs cost 6 mil to upgrade - it takes me days to farm them

Yes. The original post was indeed hard to read, but if you know how the lab bug works you understand what he was saying.

I learned about the lab the hard way too. When I was TH9 I made sure to leave a few days on my balloon upgrade when starting the 5 day lab upgrade so that they could both work at the same time. When my lab building upgrade finished 5 days later it appeared that no progress had been made on my balloon upgrade so I took the 6 million elixir I had been saving to get level 6 archers and spent 4 million upgrading a DE drill. I then went on a raid. When I got back from the raid my balloon upgrade finished instantly and I found myself without enough elixir to do the upgrade I really wanted. I ended up spending 1.5 million elixir upgrading my healers to level 2 (a troop I never use) just because I refuse to ever let my lab be idle.

End result is I had to wait an extra 3 days to get my barbs and archers to 6 because I didn't know how the lab time bug worked. It can indeed be frustrating OP, so I understand. Luckily, you know how it works now so it will never happen to you again.
