just boosted some of my structures, then a server maintenance prompt appear. what about the gems we spent?
You get a "pause" in your boosts, and you can push "play" at any time you choose.
(one of my dark barracks is still paused after boosting during the last few mins of the 1 gem boost... maybe I'll need it one day)
All of your boosts will be paused and you can activate them when you have the time to make use of them.
So no gems lost.

Barracks, heroes and spells are paused. Your collectors continue, which is good, nobody can raid you until maintenance is over. So stop complaining.

Uhh, you are. Nothing happened to your gems, they will still give you exactly the same benefit as pre maintenance becasue the boost are paused.
