Accidental Attacks

I'm new to the forums so not sure if this is in the right place or allowed, but there's something that really bugs me. When searching for a new base to attack, the first troop in your troops bar is selected by default, right? Well whenever i'm looking at bases to attack, if i say touch the screen to move the around to look at the base i seem to accidentally drop a troop onto the base. Then it's the case of surrender and lose ALL of the trophies or at least attempt an attack and use up your troops. For example, i was searching for an attack and was on a Town Hall Level 10 base (wasn't capable of attacking it) and accidentally dropped an archer on the base when moving the camera.

I've asked my fellow clan members and they've said it happens to them often too, i just think it's rather annoying the fact that you can accidentally drop a troop so easily and then be committed to attack it. The majority of my losses come from dropping troops on bases i'm not capable of attacking when trying to navigate the interface.

I don't necessarily think this is just me being careless as others have the problem too and i think it's too easy for it to happen. I was thinking maybe a confirm attack prompt when you go to drop a troop on a base? I'm not sure but it's one of the biggest problems i have with the game at the moment.

It has been brought into supercell notice and they are thinking of changing a few things about this. But no one knows when it will actually happen

I play on a small screen and yet i dont have this problem anymore. I guess ill share what i do since it seems to work.

The first base on the next screen i immediately zoom all the way out. Any nexting done afterwards will have all the bases zoomed out. I concentrate on the next button, fully remove my finger to look at loot/base. Focus on the next button, click and repeat.

Again, playing on a small screen and havent dealt with this problem in a long long time.

I think supercell should remove the default selected troop and let the players choose what troop they want to deploy first.

I too follow this procedure. Zooming out completely greatly reduces the chances of a troop getting dropped.
