War plan is announced via mail about 12-24 hrs prior to the start of the war. I'll copy-paste a sample message here:
War rules: Ask co/elder before attack!!! Use max troops in cc. Both attacks must be done. First attack should be done in first 8h. Th8 second attack in next 4h. Ask for help if you dont know how to attack. No looting!!! Good luck in war.
To elaborate on the no looting part, I will give you an example. Lets say you are th8 and all the opponent's th8's are 3 starred. You cannot atk a th9 and th10 for 1 star to get better loot. You have to practice a 3 star atk on one of the th8's. This is strictly enforced.
Generally, ppl say in chat, "Can I atk base #25?" If a co-leader gives you the okay, you atk it straight away. You cannot claim a base hrs in advance. It is first come first serve. But you have to ask permission to atk a base before atking it. Does that make sense?
War generally starts around 8-10 am pst. This is an international clan that has members all across the globe, so we have ppl active around the clock.
