Put th on outside, go down to a lower league, buy a shield (if possible), if possible get yourself or someone to check back so often and dump loot from mines into walls. Put decorations around your exposed th to show it isn't trapped.
Basically make yourself a non enticing target

Nope. The maximum shield you can buy is a week. That has a 35 day cool down period.
After being inactive usually players bases are no longer prioritsed and fall to the back of the search queue so you may find that you are attacked less and less.
My suggestion is to upgrade your collectors to max if you haven't already. Hopefully you will return with full collectors.

Put your town hall outside in a corner to reduce the loss and stay in bronze league.
But don't worry too much. They will only steal your surplus loot. It is better to give it to public. Otherwise it will accumulate and be wasted.
