    Angry IMO something needs to be done about troop attack patterns

    This is something that has annoyed me for quite a while, but has been especially aggravating this week. Anyone who is familiar with dragon attacks, know's how bad they can be for going the wrong direction from which they were directed, and if you have an archer queen, then you are more then familiar with her passion for attacking walls for no reason other then the fact that its there, when she is being pounded by a defense building 4 tiles away.

    This week I have had no less then 4 perfectly good gowipe attacks that wound up being in the 85%+ destruction range, turn out to be one star attacks because troops have made some of the DUMBEST decisions I have ever witnessed when it comes to attacking. I just got doing another 1 star raid in war because the 3 pekkas I dropped decided to dead stop in their tracks after walking in a B-line towards the wide open town hall (all buildings within 10 tiles of this one corner destroyed) decided to stop for a second or two, and then make a hard right and run around the outside of the base to a building that wasnt even nearly as close as the townhall was. Then at the end of the raid, my archer queen, which was within 5 tiles of the townhall, decided to pound away at a lvl 7 wall, instead of attacking the cannon that was blasting her the entire time she worked over this wall.

    Now I perfectly understand there are limitations to what you can do with an android based game, but there has to be SOMETHING that can be done to improve the logic of war troops to some degree. Troops right now arent even as smart as mice in a cage at this point. At the VERY least I would hope that SC could do something about the fact that troops, including the archer queen will sit there and play with walls instead of dealing with the defense that is attacking them. This sort of behavior completely defies all logic to the way the game was meant to be played. PLEASE tell me someone else agrees with me on this.

    Your lucky you don't have an archer queen shooting through the townhall to the cc at 97% costed me a new iPad and a 97% 1 star (xbox was left)

    Learn how the troop AI functions and you won't have problems. If troop AI was to blame, no one would be defending it saying they don't have problems. I don't have problems with my attacks because I learned through trial and error how the troops were programmed to act

    It's like saying "OMG dumb giant! The clan castle troops were hitting it and it didn't fight back! They're so dumb!" No they're not. They were programmed to attack defensive structures until they died or all defensive structures were destroyed

    It's the same with all troops. They're not dumb. They were programmed to act a certain way and it's up to the PLAYER to predict the actions of their troops

    I understand perfectly well how the troop AI functions, and I understand the process of funneling perfectly. That doesnt excuse the IDIOTIC behavior of some of the troops. You don't hear people complaining about the AI behavior of hogs because they are programmed properly. Something is physically wrong with some of the aspects of troop target selection, specifically the queen. Unless you think that there is some purpose behind her attacking walls for no reason at all.

    I don't clear the path to the TH, I clear the sides and then let my pekkas work their way towards it. It sounds to me like you cleared to much before dropping them. I know, because I have made the same mistake before. It's how I learned not to do it, actually. ( I usually get to learn everything twice )

    I have seen the queen go full you know what. And I don't use dragons because I hate their AI. But pekkas can be easily funneled in GoWiPe. You're probably clearing too much in their path to TH before dropping them.

    While sometimes the troops do act unpredictable, saving a archer or wiz can sometimes help them. Certain troops are known to wander or aim at walls. And even the hogs have unpredictable patterns at times, such as ignoring the BK when all defenses are gone and getting wiped by him.

    It Always Happenes To Me

    I'm One Of Those People Who Attack With Dragons On My Main Account In Crystal 1.The Loot There Is Amazing,but Normally I Get An Easy 2 Star On Any Base That Is Th8 or Th9. I Am A Th9 And Nearly Maxed. I Have Level 2 Dragons And I'm Gonna Upgrade Them Soon And I Find It Easy With A Few Dragons And 4 Rages To Get A 2 Star Or Even A 3 Star Sometimes. But I Do Agree With The Original Post,The Archer Queen Thing Needs To Be Fixed My Archer Queen Goes For The Walls 50% Of The Time.Thanks

    Actually I have seen quite a few instances where hogs will completely ignore an inferno tower while playing ring around the rosey with it to destroy every other defense in that circle before finally recognizing it as a defense. Just like if you watch the archer queen and she's not in the mood to shoot walls, if given a choice between multiple buildings she will always go for the air defense. Some troops seem to prioritize or de-prioritize even within their own parameters.

    I think most of the time it's an error in deployment. It generally only happens to troops who Attack "any" target.

    though there are times when it does glitch. I have had it happen with wall breakers where after I destroy an outer wall drop troops and then go to drop another WB for the second layer, the wb targets the end of the wall opening instead of the next wall "cell". I drop more, they work fine. Happens once every 100 or so attacks i use wb (so very very rare).

    Sure my queen and wizzies targeted walls when other builds are closer, pekkas circle, etc. I assume some fancy AI is at work. It seems to happen to everyone, both me and those that have attacked me.
