This is just something I have to deal with a lot and I don't think I'm the only one. During a clan war, maybe through preparation day, you find a guy you want to attack and you write in the clan chat that you want to attack this guy moments before the war starts. You leave for maybe an hour or two and when you come back, the guy you wanted to attack has already been taken down. Let's say you felt really confident with that guy or he was the same number as you and wanted to see if you can take him on. Chances are, the person who attacked him either didn't see your message in the clan chat (because not everybody checks and scrolls down all they missed) or he saw it but thought, "well he's an easy target for me to show off and get three stars." Here's where the idea kicks in. A system during preparation day, and possibly battle day, where you can click on your target and "claim him." This claim won't last forever but could last just enough time for you to train troops and whatever you do in your spare time and then come back to attack him. This claim won't let other people attack that target. I know what you're thinking. "What if some guy claims low people and never attacks just to be a douche about it?" This is why the claim will last for roughly 4-6 hours and you can't claim the same guy twice and possibly have a limit of claims (such as two per clan member). And if somebody wants to abuse this, kick them from the clan. I just think it would be a neat idea and hope you agree.

No. Claims are stupid if others cant attack that player. Say someone claims a base in first few hours but someone else already made army for that base and its claimed in last minute. Next thing you know players wait that certain timelimit because they dont want to attack another base. It's stupid. If you want to claim bases unofficially do it on clashcaller.com my clan uses it and it works pretty well.
Ok the claim doesn't have to stop other people from attacking it. Other people can still attack it but if you have a loyal clan and members who respect others, then there can be a message stating that another member has claimed it. It'd be easier then going on some website because what if the whole clan doesn't want to do that? But think what you want, it's your opinion, I can't change it.
