I did walls at TH8 and am glad I did. Gold is in tight supply compared to elixir at TH9. Trying to walls with the other stuff is much more difficult than just doing at 8 while feasting on TH7s. Waiting until the end of TH9 to do the all just seems nuts to me.

That's why you don't wait till end of TH9. I've gotten 70% of my skulls done in the first 3 months (starting from maybe 50) at TH9 while keeping all my 5 builders busy. All I do is dump the extra 500k gold or 1M elixir into walls before my last builder gets to grinding. Now, my elixir buildings/lab upgrades are all done, so all my elixir now goes into walls. Yeah, I have some purple walls left, but my core walls are now legos, then most key entrance points are skulls. Not to mention lvl 3 xbows, lvl 11 queen and (almost) max splash to defend.

Guess what? Those purples just need 2 WBs (TH9 lvl) to break, just like skulls. While you got max skulls at TH8, I now have 2 max xbows, more walls, +1 WT, AD, and AT, an AQ (yes please), +20 in army camps, +5 CC, +1 spells, and access to higher leagues for more DE to upgrade my BK/AQ faster.

But please, keep those elixir storages at max to donate to your clan lol

What you just got in 1hr42min would be an a mediocre haul for 3 TH9 BArch attacks. Think about that for a second.

True. But why would I want to become a th9 , while I can take advantage of the fact I have a surplus of elixir to allow me to fund those expensive to be able to average 300k gold and 2k dark elixir per raid.

I can use that to get my walls and dark elixir upgrades , setting myself up better off than a rushed th9

For a th 9 with only purple walls? EWW, no thanks.
Why do walls at th 9 if you can do them easier at th 8?? And if you upgrade your th because you always full elixir, where will that elixir go, if you didnt do any skulls? so your gonna have to do the skulls anyway.. There is no escaping full elixir unless you did the skulls at th 8..if you plan on getting full skulls or any higher do the skulls at th 8, unless you plan on having full purples for ever.. th 10 full purple looks ugly imo

IMO only time to upgrade your th if you have ONE of the ff :

• Max buildings from builders.
• Max Walls
• Max Your Lab

And I completely agree. Max buildings from builders because you dont want to waste any builder time, max walls is because you dont have a gold dump anymore, now you will have full gold and elixir... and if you maxed your walls before maxing builders then you must be a really good and active farmer, so your definetely ready for the th 9 grind.. even if your def are not maxed.. hell th 7 level.

well if you are very active then you really only need about half your walls to level 8 before you upgrade to th9. this way you have lvl8 walls to use elixir on and since you are very active you raid a lot so the 10% loss isn't really a big deal to level the rest of your lvl 7 walls to lvl 8.

I said this in another post, I farm over 5 mil gold and elixir a day. at th 9 I see a 10% decrease so 4.5 mil gold and elixir. at th8 I can only use gold and the elixir goes to waste. in the end at th8 I have 5 mil in usable resources but th9 I have 9 mil.

LOL, dont thank me. I ALWAYS have full elixir tanks, but im farming down here, silver 1. loot is awesome here, and best part is, No one takes it from me. even if i have full lix tanks. just snipe snipe snipe.. or fail to get my full lix storages. very entertaining...
