It still doesn't clear up the fact that people can drop trophies and farm off of defensive wins.

Also, you are assuming large amounts of loot for a win. And as far as you know, it could be based on League too, making dropping trophies counter productive. You think Supercell is stupid? If they add this (mind you 'if'), they would have some way to balance things as best they can, and counter that simple problem you have with it.
