This would save my Pyro Mage idea from being ignored and thrown in the archives because of newbies who post ruled out and undetailed ideas.
Btw this is what i think about newbies:×+/2

Thanks to venomben for the awesome sig!

    This should be implemented |

I am so sick and tired of having Newbie Spawn just starting random forums without reading anything or posting on other peoples forums. It is really difficult to deal with especially when good ideas get ignored just so people can keep said forum going by saying the idea has been ruled out.

I would really ally like to see this idea implemented into the forums so that way Newbie Spawn can't just post spam and ideas that have been ruled out and/or are super op, because they don't know what op ideas are yet.

Well I agree with you, I always come to te forum searching for new ideas and always go replying "ruled out" or not posting nothing, I know I've never post a good idea or something but I have read all ruled out ideas and possible future additions and is very disgusting read threads about the same first-line ruled out ideas...

Technically, it will not stop them from actually posting bad ideas. But it is to remove the excuse of not knowing, and being ignorant of the rules (ignorant ≠ stupid). I'm going on the theory here that if they honestly do want to help, they will follow the rules, and not post most of the commonly posted bad threads. Bad ideas and OP ideas will be possible, but the flood of ruled out ideas should be all but halted with this idea...

This seems like a good idea to me!
All the spam on the IFR forums... POOF

I’m Rick Harrison, and this is my pawn shop. I work here with my old man and my son, Big Hoss. Everything in here has a story and a price. One thing I’ve learned after 21 years – you never know WHAT is gonna come through that door.

And unlike the sticky thread, if it has interactive response buttons on it like I suggested, we would actually get stats and figures on how many potential ruled out or spam threads were blocked! Or... at least the mods would get stats and figures. Hope they share the info. Would be nice to see.

Yes! I volunteer my "where to post guide" as part of the framework of this idea.

Also we could really go the distance on this one and make it funny -- I see the potential for lots of more Larry jokes.

Larry: *hold up picture of upgradable builder's huts"

Witch: "No, Larry, those are ruled out. You'd know that if you had read the sticky."

    Larry: *looks confused*

Yes! "Don't be a bone head! Don't post ruled out ideas like Larry the skeleton minion."

Have to be careful with some jokes, since they could be distracting, or too corny. But yeah, something to break the monotony of rule presentation.

Would suggest Supercell create thier own intro pages for here, since it is thier content, and thier representation of thier game. Doesn't mean we can't offer ideas.

This morning, I lost count of how may threads I reported as ruled out. About a dozen? Felt like more. (odds are 6-8 knowing my luck)

Also, this brings up a small flaw in my idea. Some people, after seeing the intro, could still make ruled out ideas from forgetting to check the list. Something else that should be added is another button to bring up the forum helper to help them review the ruled out list and see tips and tricks on doing a proper search; as well as to how to make a proper thread. Of course voluntary, but would be something right there, near the New Thread button, so they can call it up easily.

I love this idea. Great work, and it could really help stip the ruled-out spam.
