Heros Available In Clan Wars While Upgrading Please

Ok, so basically the title says it all. I'm a TH 9, and mostly the only thing holding me back from upgrading my heros is clan wars. I don't want to upgrade my heros because they won't be available in wars. Which in effect, makes me a less effective attacker. I'm totally fine not having heros available in raids; that's fair. but I still want them in wars. I'm number 1 in my clan so my attacks are the most valuable, so with me not having my heros, it could possibly result in me just being short of getting the two star, three star, etc. And especially sense that update came out about clan perks, we have been busting through wars like crazy. so when my heros get to the point when they start taking 7 days to upgrade. That's 3 wars of me not having heros. I know the obvious solution is to step out of clans wars while they are upgrading. But I love clan wars, and I still want to participate in them! For now, I'm just maxing my dark elixir troops, then I will focus on my heros once they are all upgraded.

I am furious that heroes in war wasn't in the current update. I've never seen $cell leave any feature of the game in such a purely money grabbing manner.
