Phalanx has much lower HP than a Golem, and lower attack Power than a Peeka. With proper placement and knowledge of the troop AI, Phalanx has the possibility to go an entire match without being destroyed if placed correctly, although will die rather quickly when vulnerable to attacks. He will take 0 damage from the defense he is attacking due to the large shield, but will be vulnerable to other defenses within range.
