    Spell countdown timer once deployed.

I think a great addition to the game would be a spell countdown timer.

For instance, you drop your level 2 jump spell on the map, and you can see the seconds counting from 40 seconds once it is placed. It could be a transparent green overlay on the spell radius (which I would prefer), or I guess you could have the timer on the spell icon itself. Additionally the numbers could turn red the last 5 seconds. This same method could be applied to all spells and all levels.

I would find this helpful for knowing exactly when spells were about to complete their cast time.

Yes there would need to be some method for when multiple spells of the same type are dropped, or when they are dropped on top of each other, but the idea is the main point here.

i like the idea and it wouldnt be a huge addition either so dont see why they couldnt do it. i would say over the spell though cause if you had multiple of the same spell then it wouldnt work on the button itself but good idea

    Thumbs Up

Some sort of protection for accidentally dropping spells would be nice too. I didn't 3 star one of my opponents in our last war because I accidentally dropped a lightning spell.

SC doesn't really need to add "protection" measures for easily avoidable user mistakes. Making mistakes is part of life, both in game and out, and learning from them and preventing them is part of becoming better. And the people who refuse to learn from their mistakes deserve to not be as good as the people who do. And that's what I love about this game. Anyone can become great at the game, but it take practice, determination, focus, and the ability to adapt.

How about having up to 5 small squares on the spell icon with the timers? One in each corner of the box and one in the middle. Like the #5 on dice.

The idea is that a new timer pops up in the same sequence for every spell of that type you drop.
