War Donations ~ |Discussion| (Without pictures. Naw!)

We all know you dont get XP or donation count for filling war CC's. And I'm not here to dispute that, I totally understand that. What I dont understand, is why we cant donate to our own War CC's. There really isnt a logical reason. We arent getting rewarded for it, and it cant be abused, so why not?
The only reason I can think of, is because SC want to encourage team work. Great in theory, messy in practice.
What if youre the best player in the clan, is it fair that you donate max troops to everyone below you, and then get crumby troops in return? From my point of view, no.

I may be alone in this, and I'm not suggesting this be implemented, just thought it would be interesting to see others views on it.

That is exactly what happens with me every war. I get troops worse than mine and donate my best. I hope they change this

Simply because it's not at all the idea behind it. The purpose of a clan is for members to help each other. If you can donate to yourself, then it will quickly becomes a "help yourself, we don't fill CC for others" and would defeat the purpose of a clan.

I tend to agree with you though I have to say "fairness" is not an issue. It doesn't matter if you get donated crummy troops because you lose nothing when your war base is attacked. It may be an issue of pride that your base not be defeated, but it really doesn't matter if one base gets 3-starred versus another since it affects the war just the same.

I absolutley get that. I am more just talking about war CC's on prep day. Most clans only have 3-4 people who fill the castles anyway, I just feel they should be able to fill their own castle as they see fit. Instead of getting a level 3 wizard, they should get level 6 wizards like they gave to everyone else. (Example)

But I see what you're saying.

I honestly never have problems getting my cc filled and i am the highest player in my clan but i can see where you are coming from as nobody is benefiting from it and you can save others some resources.

SC most likely have it like this as it helps with team work and not just everyone fill themselves.

Ya that would be awesome if we could do that. Luckily my clans number 2 also has maxed war cc troops.

Personally, I would like a count, if not a reward, for war donations. This way people would be competing to donate to war castles, and it wouldn't just be the leaders and a few elders. However, though I see where your logic is coming from, I think Supercell want to encourage teamwork (as stated above.) Many clans would simply say that one must fill their own CC. It's a tough situation, and though I emphathize with you, I see no easy solution.

I understand no reward (people would delete donations and get spammed with giants so that they could all get their rewards), but a count would be nice. Just a little number next to each persons name on the map to show how much they donated. Would be helpful for leaders to pick through leaches.

    Cool

I think this idea could go with clan perks, surely some clan levels should allow you to do this.
"They had more TH10s than us!" - Sure, but you had more TH9s and none of their TH10s even have 240 troop space.
"Darn! I got disconnected...again!" - Weird how you always get disconnected after something doesn't go well during the attack. Somehow the game always disconnects you after it is clear that you failed to pull the CC on your hog attack.
