This isn't an idea about a specific troop or spell I've conjured up, though it is a broad idea that I figured the game could do with.

As far as I know, healers are the only purely defensive troops, that don't attack but buff your army with a weaker version of the heal spell essentially. Healers are based off of angels, they float about and send off rays of light to replenish the health of the army. How about another, darker version, that instills rage in a group of troops, causing them to go berserk and lash out in barbaric fury. Basically a devil-healer kind of thing that'll do the rage spell effect, or a severely weakened version on a small number of troops. Another idea could be a sentinel type creature which gives your troops a shield. The shield could protect a troops by absorbing a certain level of damage and this would only be able to be used on any one troop once. This troop could even be used in the clan castle to shield your buildings, as another level of strategy(do you want defence or a whole bunch of offense for you cc in war for example). As said at the start i don't want to get into specifics but a troop like those two i described would have very slow fire rates and veryy low health.

Basically, we don't have enough defensive units that provide buffs for your troops, my ideas were ones i came up with on the spot as the main point is that we should have more defensive options whem building an army, apart from healers.
