Why is it not that way, that everyone who is not involved in the Clanwar can only see the bases like the ones from the opposite clan? That way, only the active members can see the bases from each other.
The Rest of the clan still can see the matches live, see the replays after an attack.
If everything angers you then you will spend your entire life being angry.
If everything pains you then you will spend your entire life in pain.
As I stated, it's a matter of personal taste but it is evident that it reduces the amount of skill required to 3★ an individual.
Also there are situations where the option for both clans to scout is not in play, this is also unfair.
Traps should either be visible or not and in order to promote skill and strategy they should remain an unknown always.
How does spying on traps benefit the clash community? Ok, decoy bases can be integrated into your clan tactics but how does this help you when the opposition has managed to peek at your base and its hidden components on war day pre attack?
Our clan got spied on once.
...Once
After that we started switching from Invite to Anyone every 2 days. It really isn't that hard. In fact, we've even sent spies of our own over twice, I believe. It's a useful technique on occasion, but honestly, it was too much work. Can't study the screencaps too hard during prep day, as the base can switch around last second. Traps are usually easy enough to locate anyway, and even if they're not, a set of traps is often not enough to ruin a raid.
So really what I'm saying is spying is a situational benefit and not usually that big of a deal. And again, I really gotta wonder what kind of hassle changing your clan's open status is...
If this past update is any indication, the forums would complain about an update for this anyway, haha
Cloud Control - Why are clouds so terrible, and what are the possible ways to get rid of them?
This is a really good idea.
Spying happens. We've had the top player of the opposing clan join with minimal pretense. It is hard to train every last elder to not accept unknowns during war.
"No new people during war" would be an excellent setting. Ideally, and this might be slightly difficult, is that recent members should be allowed to rejoin. Most importantly, the war participants should be able to rejoin.
That's I think is a sticking point. There are a lot of cases where guys take off for troops and come back. Not hoppers. They go to req clans, friend clans, or feeders. Not good to mess them up.
What about having all new members are only 'New' until promoted to member. And 'New' cannot see hidden things on bases or cc. (basically their view is the same as from outside the clan. That approach has enough flexibility that folks could tailor how they use it to cater to their preferences. (Make them member right away if you want them to see bases or they were a part of the clan already, or leave them 'new' for the balance of the war if you would rather they did not)

Like.
"New" members, if they are spectators, cannot see the hidden things. It's the seeing of hidden things that is the problem. HTs. Traps. Clan castle defense troops.
"New" participants? Maybe it doesn't matter, as long as they can see their own hidden things. I prefer to discourage hopping anyway.
I like this idea. It would mean "new" players wouldn't get any inside info until approved (seen to be giving donations or using turns in war). Of course, there is also the problem of new-enemy members jumping in and sabotaging the clan donations with low powered wall bombers etc. not sure how to counter that.
An easier solution would be do not allow war spectators to see traps or cc like they were not in the clan.
