    Exclamation Insufferable multiplayer search! Time for a possible change!

    This is a topic that impacts EVERYONE playing Clash Of Clans.

    Please take it seriously and consider passing it on to the developers.


    Clash of Clans is an amazing game that millions enjoy on a daily bases.
    Many people complain about minor things, about having more gems, or about constantly having new features, when they don't understand that Supercell puts in many hours on a daily bases and that they are working as fast and efficient as possible.


    However, a major issue with the game is the Multiplayer attacking system.
    In 2012, the "Next" feature of searching for a random player to attack, was cool and exciting - anticipating to find a challenging base to raid, to find a great loot base, or even to gather trophies from farmers.


    BUT, since the game currently supports so many players, it has become a very frustrating experience.


    I myself, have spend HOURS, looking for a base WORTH attacking. A base that will give me the necessary loot to AT-LEAST make new troops without loosing too much Elixir.


    There are too many "abandoned" bases that players have to suffer through skipping, sometimes many in a row.


    It's understandable that "Attack A Friend" is not a feature that might make it in the game, but the current attacking system, is insufferable.


    POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS TO THIS PROBLEM:


    -Perhaps higher Level players could "unlock" a feature that allows them to choose a range of players to attack in their current League.
    Maybe an "Attack" button next to League Members on the leaderboards?


    -A new attack system could also solve the problem;
    Boom Beach currently has a brilliant "Attack Map" system, which we all agree with and makes our lives much easier, therefore, enjoying the game a lot more. Yes Clash of Clans is very popular, it keeps growing drastically, but i'm 100% sure that ALL players will have SOMETHING negative to say about the "Attack" system.
    *An idea for a new system could be:
    -Battle Map: An ancient map with locations of enemy territory!
    Maybe something like the current SINGLEPLAYER map, but with player names on, that can be attacked when available. Shows how much damage you did when attacked, destroyed base remains for 24h, Depending on Town Hall, your map expands from 20 Enemies to 32.


    Please, do not overlook this message, it's a really important thing to consider and hopefully implement. Nothing else is as truly important.


    I can only hope that this message has finally reached the eyes of the Clash of Clans developers, and i can only dream about one day getting a response.

    I haven't played Boom Beach*, so I can't comment on it. The maps idea sounds interesting, but sounds like a big change to the game. Not sure how I feel about it...

    However, I do think it's odd that we can't attack people on the league leaderboard. The leaderboard makes it look like you're in competition with those players. You get ranked against them. It tracks movement up and down the leaderboard. It's a two-week system, which almost seems to imply that you'll get some sort of reward at the end of the two weeks.

    Wouldn't it be great if you could actually attack people in your league? The main drawback I see is that you would be able to scout loot, CC troop capacity, traps, etc., so it'd be a bit unfair.

    Regarding a league reward for, I think a reward for being in the top 3 (top 5? top 10?) spots would be cool too. But only if you could actually attack people in your league. However, I'll be the first to admit that it would be simple to abuse by trying to "redline" your league by getting up to 999, 1199, 1399, etc. trophies just before the league ends. So the rewards should probably be small, perhaps similar in value to the league bonus itself, or some small multiple of it. (E.g., 1st place get 3x the league bonus, 2nd place get 2x, etc.)


    * Disclaimer: I do have Boom Beach installed, but my son plays it, not me. We both have CoC accounts, though I do 90% of the farming and 100% of the warring on his account. He just decides what to upgrade next. Though I veto his decisions about 80% of the time.

    Attack Options

    Along these lines of ideas, I think it would be cool to be able to attack within your own clan...a sort of sparing/training battle. Taking each others loot and giving shields would have to be disabled to ensure the game play stays fair. However being able to help each other grow stronger, practice attack strategies, find weaknesses in defenses etc.

    As a clan leader, I strive to help my clan mates with defensive designs, and the best attack strategies in clan wars to maximize their loot bonus. Being able to show them potential weaknesses would go a long way.

    Welcome to the forum. Don't go spamming identical threads across the various forums of our community. It will only irritate people, cause SC to delete them and bring the trolls out to make you miserable. As for your topic . . .

    If you want Boom Beach go play it. I did for a while. Uninstalled it after a couple months of honest play. CoC would not work using that dynamic without making it the same game. Different benefits/drawbacks. You can get that idea out of your head because it won't be considered.

    If you are complaining about nexting now you must not have been with us back during Q4 of 2013. SC made a seemingly subtle change that destroyed the games economy above TH8 and many of us quit. I only recently started playing again and I can say with enthusiasm that loot is WAY better since that patch. Still not as good as it was pre lix4walls, but good. At least you missed out on that.

    Is it good enough? I still say no. I farm again but only when I can sit for a while. I still can't play for short stints multiple times each day. Some people just want the next cost removed so they don't spend hundreds of thousands of gold trying to find a viable base. I think there is great value in making the next button expensive. The ideal answer is to have more bases that are worth attacking. That's what we want to do anyway . . . attack. Personally I don't care if the loot comes from thin air or from the village that I just invaded. I just want to deploy troops all over my screen, not tap the corner repeatedly. More bases worth attacking = more desire to play.
