    Default Opt-Out

What's going on clashers?! I love the new opt-in/out feature, however I see one improvement that could be made. After the end of every war, I think all clan members should be automatically opted out for the next war. This would prevent any accidental opt ins and would be an all around better feature to the update. I understand that the leader has the final say in who is opted in/out, however the leader doesn't know whether or not a clan member meant to opt in or is just inactive. As a clan leader myself, I can see how this can be very beneficial to clans that go to war multiple times a week.

I can see the benefit but as a leader you should be able to judge if a player is inactive or not before you start the next war. this new feature calls for you to just be a little more aware of things that go on in the clan if you already were not aware of them before this update.

I think it would be better if they just gave the leader power to opt a guy out himself if he had need for any of the many possible reasons. The concern was that leaders would bully guys (if they did not give crab claws) by opting them out against their will. So fine, I guess they have saved humanity that I won't be doing that to anyone. Instead I will kick them out of the clan against their will.

Yes, please have the default setting as I'm not in, high participation in war is sooo important, and this would help towards that, as inactive players would be more easily spotted that way.
As to re-setting, I'm for a reset too, but would rather it resets to I'm not in at the end of every season, rather than after every war.

Here's the rationale behind it: take a clan for example that does 2 wars per week. One war in the beginning of the week and one war during the weekend. More people play on the weekend due to not having work/school/other responsibilities, therefore more people participate during the weekend war. However, not all of these participants can participate in the upcoming war at the beginning of the week. Say a few people forget to opt out of the war in the beginning of the week, but are good clan members that participated in their one war per week (weekend war). This can present the issue of accidental inactivity during a war due to the simple mistake of not opting out. I understand that coleaders/leaders can ultimately decide who to opt in/out, but what's the harm of preventing mistakes by simply opting everyone out at the end of a war? I hope this clarifies my thought process.

After reading your thought process.. this makes sense. However I think this might be a better addendum to it. Have players choose specific days they want to be Opted In on. Sort of like the alarm clock on an iPhone You can just check mark Monday Tuesday Wednesday, etc..

I think making people opt back in every war is tedious. Most of the people in my clan are willing to war as often as possible. So requiring them to check mark that they're in would be excessive for us.

I prefer if the leader can reset everyone to opt-out , instead of it being automatic (as it would be annoying for 24/7 war clans).

I think the default should be 'opt out' as active players will indicate they are active while inactive players won't indicated they are inactive since, by their very nature, they don't do anything.

I totally agree that after a war, everyone should be auto defaulted to opt out. That way, when they change it to be OPT in for the war, the leaders actually know they are making a choice.

The way it is now, leaves the leaders wondering... are these people all opting in? or on vacation? or grounded from using their tablets? or totally inactive. Makes for not a fun war.
