Original idea not mine, it's Dahimi's, but the clan perks of this update rather set a precedent that may make it more likely.
So, please, before this gets buried, humour me.
High trophy pushing is a grind. At 4k+, the population is so small, and constantly playing in long stints, that there are always very few bases to attack. This results in hours of staring at clouds.
SC has always deemed this unfixable, which to an extent, it is. If there isnt a massive incentive to push to higher and higher trophy levels, then very few will. Its an awful lot of effort, for no reward.
So, i propose, more leagues above champion, maybe in increments of 400🏆s rather than 200.
So champ 3, 3200-3600
Champ 2, 3600-4000
Champ 1, 4000+
Maybe even an extra crazy one for all the uber pushers at 4400+.
Rather than increasing league bonus, which is already huge, why not have perks, like the war-related clan ones, for being in each league.
Useful things would be reduced spell or troop training times. Nothing more frustrating than sitting in clouds for 2 hours, do a raid, go home, heroes awake, camps full, spells empty. Which then take an hour on boost.
If there was actually a useful incentive to climb to the crazy cup levels, then surely more people would.
This in turn increases the player population up there, reduces the clouds, and generally makes big pushing a far less painful experience.
