Think I better re-post this as I see many new candidates are not following instructions or have failed to read the first post.
NEW CANDIDATES - WORKING ON CAPTAIN III...
Many people fail in this quest because they get too eager in sending off boats and getting them in too early.
After filling a boat, take the time you have left whilst the boat to remain on dock to re-stock on supplies that you have already used up. You never know if the next boat or the boats after will ask for the same stuffs again. If you keep sending boats off immediately after they are full, you are going to run out of supplies sooner or later as time is needed to cook the supplies. If you leave a boat to remain on the dock and let it sail off by itself, you still gain the points, voucher and the boat count towards captain III. So leave the boat alone.
After sending the boat away, take the 4-hrs lead time to start preparing for supplies you will need. If you don't have time to make enough, start buying items from neighbors or the newspaper.
Good luck. Be patient and you will be wearing your captains hat soon.
P/s: the helpers though many here... Are also helping with lots of other boats, not just yours alone. Like you, we also need time to prepare and re-stock our barns. So, please cooperate with us and you will be successful in your quest. Cheers!
Yah... I noticed that too. It's like... they come, they post what they need us to do, and *poof* they vanish.
Sometimes I feel like they are selfish in a sense cos they just expect us to fill their boats once they post. They don't bother to read through post 1 to gain a understanding of how things work here. This gets frustrating cos we are not helping their boat only. There are many other boats requesting for help too. Sigh....
They need to understand that we are working together with them. They need to co-operate with us and help us before we can help them. 2-way communication is important for success.
