    Hogging. 50% skill, 50% LUCK

    So I've been using level 4 hogs on town hall 8s lately. I know all about hogging, what bases can be hogged, and how to scout giant bombs, etc. I have recently discovered that hogging has a lot of luck involved. You can only do so much by choosing a good entry point to the base.

    Hogs will go off on different directions that cannot always be predicted (its not always the closest defense). Another thing that happens is spring traps. I just had a 97% attack where I had 8 of my hogs sprung off the map AFTER I had cleared every defense. The way they move is sometimes random and even with a great attack you're not always guaranteed a 3 star.

    I also brought wiz for cleanup.

    I guess what I'm trying to say is that even great hog attackers are not guaranteed 3 stars and there's nothing that can be done about it.

    I think hogs need another nerf. How about another health decrease?

    I dont think so

    Hogs always go to the closest defense, and if there are 2 defences they could possibly go to, plan for half to go to one defence, half the other. Try mixing 1 finger drops, 2 finger drops, and 3 fingers along with asian walls to conquer hogs.

    Global's no fun. But imo, I still think hogs are a bit overpowered.

    I have a replay in my war that proves otherwise. Sometimes 1-5 hogs split off to a farther defense

    I think with hogs as well as loons you're either gonna get a 1 star or a 3 star, 2 star is usually not likely with these attacks

    That's one most annoying thing about hoggs.You know thzre is a bomb at some spot but if you send a lone hog to trigger it he wil be out of triggering range by a nanometer and that bomb will later wipe all your other hogs.
    Would be great if sc could increase the triggering range of giant bombs.

    Yeah I know what you mean. I usually just preheal an area that isn't super easy to reach and I think has a giant bomb. If a double giant could be central I don't hog the base. If you really wanna pop an outer bomb because you predict its a double you usually needa send about 3 hogs.

    It's all about understanding the troop AI, as with any troop, if you don't understand the AI it will be no good. It's also about planning your attack and troop comp accordingly to compensate for a possible spring trap or something that could screw up a 3 star.
