Could a TH8 possibly donate max wizards to a defending war CC?

Apologies if Im repeating anything.

So the plus 1 lvl troop upgrade has got me thinking. I'm wondering once the clan had levelled up to 5 could the TH8s donate max wizards? And could they fill war ccs?

Im sure it would take a long time to clan up to level 5 but this scenario certainly would be a strange one!

Heres another scenario:Imagine there's only a couple of guys with max troops in the clan. Theyre not online when you need to attack in war but a bunch of th9s are. You have the clan levelled up to 5 so the troop upgrade is plus 1. You need a max golem or hound. One assumes if what I'm thinking is true max th9 troops will become th10 troops. So boom! - theres your max golem/hound from a th9 donator.

I still can't quite get my head around this! I think its cool.

I believe it will only upgrade limited to the receiver's available troop level. So for example if a th 7 donates a lvl 4 wiz to a th 8 who has lvl 5 wiz, it would become lvl 5. If that th8 donates a lvl 5 wiz to a th 9, it would stay lvl 5 because th 9 doesn't have access to lvl 6 wiz. That would allow the programming to prevent troops going over their current maxed levels since they won't upgrade past what the player already has if it's maxed out.

Nowhere official, that's just how I intrepretted it and how it would make the most sense to me.

Theoretically, that does seem to be the case. But we should know better in a few hours time (hopefully)

I don't think so. I think it will just be one more lvl (unless the troop is already maxed). So if a th8 donates a lvl5 Wiz in the lvl5 clan, the receiver will get a lvl6 Wiz in their CC.

I'm not really sure why you (and others) are assuming this, it's not like they have any caps on the level of troops you recieve now, why start now?

It's not a hard cap, just an upgrade cap. So if you get a troop donated to you and its a higher level than yours is, you just get it at whatever level it is, no upgrade no downgrade. If the troop is lower than yours, then it would be upgraded. Again im not saying that's officially how it's going to be, that's just how I think it will be.

I get all that, I just am not sure why you are assuming that will be the case. Seems much more likely they will just add one or two levels to donated troops with no restrictions.

Doubt it's going to be limited by your th when you are recieving the troops.

so th9 can only get lvl5 wiz from anyone but a th10? Would make this perk useless. Just get your wiz from a th10 if that's the case.
