If TH4s cause that much of a problem for your clan, you could always kick them out and let them be in a clan for TH4s until they level up. Do you really need TH4s in your clan that bad?

So, for the next many months, they have to opt out of wars, or feel useless in them? I don't see how this is beneficial. Not everybody farms daily and is working on leveling their base as fast as possible, so it will likely take them a while. I suppose if they aren't the ones that will pay for upgrades, their enjoyment isn't as important.

I admit, it will not affect clans that all have the same, or very close, THs. But for us, it will be a very large problem. And to the jerkoff that believes that I am a special snowflake clan, we always get matched with clans that have an eerily similar composition of town halls. So I would imagine that we are not the only ones who will see a problem with it.

If valks are the issue, donate minions to them to take the valks out.

With this update a request can be filled a bit faster, but attacking troops in our clan will be the exact same.

If they do it right, any lvl 10 clans will have all max troops anyway, so a lot may not change.

I have real-life friends that play that I wouldn't let in my clan because they are too low-level. But if having your friends in your clan is the most important thing to you, then your clan will have to sacrifice for your friends until they level up.

If you care so little about the game that you are at TH4 for longer than it takes to read this sentence, you probably don't care how useful you are in war. Let casuals be casual.

It's so easy to get to th7 there's really no need to worry about this stuff. If what you're saying is you don't play often, you don't buy gems and the rest of us shouldn't be allowed to either, then I suggest you just join a farming clan that doesn't war. War is getting vicously competitive and IMO you can't have a Great War clan anyway unless all the townhalls are maximum 1 level apart.. Th8/th9 clans and th9/th10 clans are generally about war for example.

I hope credit is given for past wars, rather than all clans starting at ground zero. When we were a clan full of TH7s and TH8s, we had an incredible record - undefeated until about ~30 wins, second loss at ~50 wins. Since then, we have leveled up to be TH10s and TH9s (NOT rushing), and we are encountering tougher and tougher opponents -- we're 69-8-2 now. Our hypothesis is that lousy players tend to quit the game by TH8, while TH9 players are more serious, more committed, and more skilled. In our early days we simply faced clans who were easy to beat because they had lousy players. Therefore, if we don't get credit for our existing record, leveling up against the tougher opponents we meet nowadays is going to suck. Plus, the Opt-in/Opt-out feature is going to make opponents tougher too.

I love the update! I realize I may not be the first big perk winner but it gives us something exciting to do again and makes war very important. Bravo supercell you made a grumpy guy less grumpy!
