You have no trouble finding elixir because the elixir for skulls was taken away. There was a big draught while it was available, so bringing it back wouldn't help you.Originally Posted by Auro

Yeah, if they brought back the elixir for skulls, all you would find was a lot less elixir and th8s with better walls.
Then you are in the best possible situation. If they brought back elixir for skull walls you would have trouble finding elixir. Since TH8's can't spend elixir on walls you are able to get a bunch of elixir and use it to upgrade your skull walls to legos. As long as you have at least 1 skull wall you have a place to put your extra elixir.
Only half million gold per wall. It's not very hard. Every decent th9 and th10 came through that
So the issue is , you can't attack people your own th level , so you need to drop to get resources
At townhall 9 you should have had all your walls to level 8 already, so 25 walls isnt that bad.
Elixir flows uphill. Most of the elixir acquired by TH8's is taken from TH7's. Most of the elixir of TH9's is taken from TH8's. Most of the elixir of TH10's is taken from TH9's. When they had elixir for walls at TH7 and TH8 everyone was using their extra elixir on walls. The result is that TH9's and TH10's could not get elixir from anyone because not only did TH8's not have elixir to take but TH9's and TH10's didn't have any either because the source of everyone's elixir was gone.
Plenty of TH9's and TH10's get elixir from people in their own town hall level, but the people they get it from got that elixir from people below them. When all the TH8's have no elixir, all the TH9's and TH10's have none as well because the source has dried up.
I just love sucking all that excess elixir from Th8's and spending on my lavas.
