Let's say I have a clan of 35 and 34 of my members want to go to war, and than you have one member who opts out and screws 4 other clanmates who want to go to war. In my clan, that person better have a really good reason for opting out. I am also guessing he will be slammed in clan chat for opting out. IMO, Clan Wars are the stuff....two attacks,Real pressure... there are no "OOPS, my pekka did the lap of shame" or "My balloons split...Sorry" .. You screw up in clan wars and you screw 34 other dudes. It is a clan, not a Jet Li movie. Then again....you were probably hoping for more goblin game levels.

    - Firstly, if too many people opt out of war, it will ruin the whole point of clan war. Most, if not all clan members should take part in war, hence the "Clan" in Clan Wars.

    - It will cause trouble with members if people keep opting out of war. Eventually leaders will get sick of this and just kick the members who keep opting out.

    - Clan leaders won't know how many people have opted out of war, therefore a clan of let's say 40, could go to war with just 10 members. And I'm sure most clans wouldn't want to do this.
It'll show whos in like it always has on the clan page, with the clan wars symbol on their name

Why the need to resort to ad hominems?

The existence of an opt out system doesn't preclude you from requiring your members to war, you can still kick out pacifists as you see fit.

The ones that don't care were already kicking and reinviting their members for war.
The ones against it wanted easier wars because some clans refused to kick players that weren't participating.

This will be a great feature that keeps clans together; even players that don't really want to war or can't for some reason. It's been a long time coming.

This is really nice feature since i've been in a clan where they kicked almost half of the clan members who didn't want to war, then they had to join again and it's was pretty messed up.
