Dont go X3 if you are serious about war...
It will only match you against max th9s as it is very heavy on CW matchups....
Go for the WT as in this upgrade they'll take lv6+ archers with one shot

I'm confused: the WT upgrade won't help him during war (who uses mass archers in war?), but the upgraded x-bow will (more DPS = faster troop destruction). Will it cause him to match higher opponents in CW? Probably, but it ought to help on defense nonetheless (for CW or regular defending).

I'm currently sitting on a 1 week shield with mines boosted, should I use my gold to upgrade a wiz tower to lvl 7 or an Xbox to lvl3? It'd be harder to save up for a Xbox which is why I'm considering the bow upgrade because I'm on a shield.

Now that the xbow glitch is fixed I would go for the xbox for sure.
