I dont understand the clan war donating system. If you don't recieve xp for your donations and they don't count towards the "friends in need" achievement, then why can't one player fill all the clan castles? If I'm willing to front the cost of the troops, and get nothing back for them, I should be able to do it... It's the worst when no one is online to top up the cc's and I've already donated my 5 wizards and can't do anything else.

Yeah or maybe you can just fill them with better troops then wizards. 1 person can fill my 35cc war defense by themselves.
One of the leaked updates said "donate more troops at a time" so maybe your wish will come true.
They don't count toward Friend In Need because it is easily abused

I think you don't get xp because you could donate lets say giants and the clan member could get the giants and get rid of them and then you could redonate giants and you could do it over and over and get unlimited xp.

While I've run into this situation multiple times myself, it would probably require retooling <recoding> the donation system, which seems unlikely.
However, who says thats not one of the clan 'perks' coming our way from leveling up.....
unless supercell were to slightly tweek the coding to make it so after you donated your 5 troops you could not donate anymore to that player whether he dumps them or not.......
Wouldn't be too hard to do.
