What's a good trophy range for a new TH10 for farming?

Th10 is a blast. I got to th10 at the end of December. I've been casually barching in master 2 and 3.

Some days there are a good number of inactives and th9s, other days it's a bit slim. As long as you star you are making loot. The hardcover farmers will scream it isn't enough, but a steady, constant income beats a sporadic stream of raids or the lack of loot in gold.

Between the loot bonus and the decent offers it's good eating. My infernos and army camps are maxed, new buildings all match my th9 stuff, dark troops are maxed, freeze spells are almost there and I've been donating a ton to keep my storages from topping off. I don't have sit down raid sessions; my th is in a corner and I raid when troops are done and I have a few min.

Overnights I'll make lavaloonion or gowiwi and cash in on a 600k-900k raid. Plenty of juicy bases of you're willing to wait on the troops.

I think it depends on your skill and where the loot happens to be. I started farming in Crystal 3 between 1901 and 2050.

when I got my defenses up, i barched a lot in masters 3. But that was before the archer tower update with the change in fire rate.

now I find Crystal 2 very lucrative (I've been a th10 for 8 months and am near max) but loot varies a ton by time of day. At times it's awesome, others, I give up and stop playing for 6-8 hours.

I tried M3 for a couple months. I found it rare to find good loot there. The weekends tended to be better, but most of the time I found myself being content with finding a base with 100k and then taking the 100k league bonus for a total of 200k. With a cheap army, I could do this about twice an hour. Occasionally I'd have to use a hero or spells to finish a base off, which slowed down farming.

I have now gone down to C2 and have been happier. It's a lot more work to get the loot (nexting), but it usually pays. I can find 200k+ collector raids fairly regularly after less than 5 minutes of nexting. I also can get by with a cheaper army and can raid 3+ times an hour.

So it comes down to preference. It's "easier" in M3 if you don't like nexting all the time, but your work is more rewarded in low crystal league.

I'd say bases are easier to loot in crystal, not necessarily "more rewarded"
