after 3000+ I switched heal for lightning and cc minions for loons to get extra penetration. I wish there was a once size fits all answer for this, but with everything it all depends on the base
some things id look for, in the order I use in my own search pattern:
- inferno towers, look for lower level, set to single and spread far apart. If they don't cover TH that's even better
- Air defencese, particularly avoid centralized ad's.
- xbows. Location and lvl, preferably spread out/ not centralized. Assume all are pointed up until glitch is fixed
- wiz towers. These will shred loons if they clump up and are attacking a different defense.
- lots of buildings outside of walls. This was very important for clean-up purposes
id typically send in 2 lavas spread apart, loons, cc and 18-22 minis behind and use to rage to bring them into the center of the base. Below 3000 all those minions id bring we're what did all the damage. Raged lvl 5/6 minions will take a TH down quickly, but they need the loons/ hounds to tank for them. I'd use remain minions and heros to get 50%. If I had 50 id go for TH with heros

congrats, i hit champs as a th9 as well and ended up using quad lavaloon. definitely not an easy task but the biggest advice i'd offer to anyone who's trying this is to really not give up and take a break if you are moving the wrong side in cups. i've wanted to rage quit a million times on failed raids too hahah
I'm so used to surgical loonian...feel I have more 'control'. Sub 3000 lava loon were you just hitting th9s for the most part? I've switched my comp to include two lavas so we will see how it goes. Being down my king I think is a deal breaker.

Honestly, Champs is probably the best place to farm. Tons of loot, and loot bonus helps too. It's all about the loot, not the cups.
