srs question about keeping resources?!?

So I am a relatively new th9, my lab just finished upgrading to lvl 7, and I noticed that almost every troop upgrade is 6 mil elixir... my question is, how do I save up that much elixir for the upgrades? Whenever I get to 3 million elixir or gold I get raided and lose roughly 300,000 or more every time. Then I do a raid, get my elixir back to where it was plus some, then go do something else in real life, come back, got raided again for the same amount, and the process just keeps repeating itself.... how can I ever save up 6 millions elixir for all of these upgrades???

Upgrade defenses get a good layout etc etc
But luckily for you the loot available doesn't go up after 3million so it will stay at 300-400k

Raid several times in a row with barch each time you break your shield.

Switch your gold and elixir storage. Likely, you're keeping them too exposed. If you're at a high range (C2+) though drop down to g2-g3.

You could try putting your townhall outside and hope someone destroys it instead of raiding your base while youre off doing something else. Or you could sit and save raid after raid until you have the 6 mil. Im thinking the formal is your playstyle.

Is your town hall outside? If not then put it inside, this will encourage attackers to take your town hall and leave you with a shield and your resources. This way you can keep them longer. I have 400k gold and elix available to all attackers, as well as 5,000 DE and most of the time they just take my town hall and leave with the occasional lightning on my DE.

YeWhemy town hall is outside, but whenever I have all those resources available people tend to say screw my town hall hahaha (Can't blame them, I do the same thing lol). When you guys say that resources available doesn't go much past 400,000, that's somewhat of a relief lol. And I thought about doing the long batching sessions but with an 8 month old son and work it can be difficult to find the time for those sessions on a consistent basis. I have found resources are more safe at crystal leagues than gold, because of much higher league bonus. In crystal you get almost instant shield by th snipe. In gold you are available for serious farmers much longer times.

I'm guessing you're raiding then logging off right after and you repeat this many times throughout a day. That's a great way to lose your resources. What you need to do is raid in sessions and that'll help somewhat to keep your resources. Ride that shield.

Also, have a farming base.
