Opting out of war!!!

This feature would help my clan. It would help many clans, that's all that matters. Doesn't help your clan? Good for you guys. But just because you don't need it doesn't mean we shouldn't. Nice try OP.

I will be very happy if they add this, but...

The only issue I see, is that building a clan and getting the right people for war was the hardest part. It's easy to get your top 10 people to do well in war. The hard part was getting a clan that everyone in it would have to do their part, to win. Make sure everyone used all their attacks. It was more about building a TEAM of people who would work together, rather then a just your few high skill, high playtime people.

This update will help more people, who maybe rushed their TH a bit and have lower level troops. No real reason to worry as much about these people, if you like them in your clan. Also, the pressure to be in every war will be gone. I know I get busy sometimes, or I'm upgrading a Hero, SF, etc. and the timing of the next war just sucks. This way I can opt out, if I feel I won't be able to contribute 100%. Really, really nice and will make the game much more fun and less work like at times.

Well lets say real life gets in the way. Studying/school/job/volunteering etc.

Now they can opt out of the war when they won't be able to attack.

Same if they don't have heros or spells becuase hero and or spell factory is upgrading.

And dropping trophies is tedious. (been there done that)

There are farmers also dropping trophies and will push you up.

Clan Leaders already opt people out of clan wars that are inactive with a kick/invite so I believe this change is for the individual needing an opt out due to jury duty and etc. This will get some opposition from clan leaders who like having all the power to use them whether they will be active for war or not. This poses a small problem getting everyone in the war by doing last minute recruitment, which is a notoriously bad idea. But an individual choice to opt out is and always was needed we were just spoiled ad clan leaders before. This encourages communication and that is also mich needed in clash land.

Before the Clan War update, everyone wanted clanwars, now you have people wanting out of wars. That is just plain silly.

It's almost like the forum is composed of many different individuals with different preferences
Besides, why can't people change their mind? Especially if clan war isn't how they want it to be in the first place

Why do so many people want this option? If you don't want to war, leave the clan. If you want to farm, play HAYDAY. Before the Clan War update, everyone wanted clanwars, now you have people wanting out of wars. That is just plain silly. I guess those people who are afraid of a base with no D upgrades going on or a base with a centralized CC and a TH they can't snipe, I have two words of advice....MAN UP!!
You are probably a so called BARCHER or DE zapper or a TH sniper.
I really think that the word FARMING shouldn't even be in a REAL CLASHERS vocab. Supercell made Hay Day for you so called FARMERS. My opinion on Barchers... I think one way to get rid of barchers is make it where you lose if you don't get the TH. Easy fix...TH is worth 51% If I get a 75% but I don't kill the TH, I don't even call that a victory.
Sorry for the rant, but I booted a dude from my clan today who said he couldn't wait for the opt out option so he didn't have to war anymore...Here is a guy who leeched off my max troops so he could go out and raid and all I wanted from him was to get me 4 or more stars in war......I told him this is a WAR CLAN and then I BOOTED his punk ***.

Well that is your opinion, which of course you are entitled to, congratulations...

not everyone wanted clan wars and even if they did they might not actually want to war all the time... I have been in one clan and know of several others that were literally torn apart by how often they should war.

yes, people can leave, but why should they? Its a complete pain to kick half the clan each war, and people do get busy in RL (shocking i know!) or are on vacation, or upgrading heroes, or just generally want a rest from war without having to let the rest of their clan down... What is wrong with that?

how fabulous will it be when we all have the choice to play how we like? If you dont like people in your clan that dont like to war, then fine, you can get rid, they are obviously not in the right clan in the first place if you are so judgemental about someone who doesn't want to war...

And as for your attitude about farmers, i have more infernos taken than you (big girl stat!) even tho i am a *shock horror* barcher... We dont all go for inactives and are quite capable of hitting storages thank you

Another big girl stat i have is conqueror of 17,435, and there are actually pretty few "th snipes".. Dont be so judgemental of the way others play the game.. Let's just be grateful that we are going to receive another tool that will make clan management and freedom of choice easier.

Not sure why opt out bothers you so much, but don't see it as an issue myself...
