It seems them finding a way to stop or slow down you and your barch buddies is taking more than one step. It will happen, and all you Barchers will be on here crying about how you hate COC because they took your glitch away.

Barch isnt a glitch, and was around long before clans could ever clash with each other. It is a legit cheap army, helped me with my push to masters, and takes skill to push with, as it is not easy to do above like 2400 trophies consistently.

Im sorry that you have so much anger in you, I hope it gets resolved.

Why do so many people want this option? If you don't want to war, leave the clan. If you want to farm, play HAYDAY. Before the Clan War update, everyone wanted clanwars, now you have people wanting out of wars. That is just plain silly. I guess those people who are afraid of a base with no D upgrades going on or a base with a centralized CC and a TH they can't snipe, I have two words of advice....MAN UP!!
You are probably a so called BARCHER or DE zapper or a TH sniper.
I really think that the word FARMING shouldn't even be in a REAL CLASHERS vocab. Supercell made Hay Day for you so called FARMERS. My opinion on Barchers... I think one way to get rid of barchers is make it where you lose if you don't get the TH. Easy fix...TH is worth 51% If I get a 75% but I don't kill the TH, I don't even call that a victory.
Sorry for the rant, but I booted a dude from my clan today who said he couldn't wait for the opt out option so he didn't have to war anymore...Here is a guy who leeched off my max troops so he could go out and raid and all I wanted from him was to get me 4 or more stars in war......I told him this is a WAR CLAN and then I BOOTED his punk ***.

Seriously now. First of all, do not say that barch is weak. There are guys who barch in masters and even in champs. Is that weak? No. Then there are guys who upgrade their bases with cheaper troops (you didn't like the term "farming" so...) with barch, which is perfectly logical. We barch if we want, it makes me smile to know that you are unable to prevent us from doing it I do understand your point about wanting to opt out from a war clan, but not every clan does 24/7 war, so you have to understand their points aswell. Btw, saying stuff like "get me 4 or more stars in war" makes me think that you would be absolutely horrible war clan leader... attacking under pressure doesn't help your clan in any way, so I recommend staying silent during the war day so your clanmates can attack more relaxed, and therefore get better results.

We've talked A LOT about adding an opt-out feature in Clan Wars and it's not currently in the cards. At this point, we just haven't found the right solution that fits Clash how it should.

We always try to avoid unnecessary complexity in our feature design and strive for features that work consistently and simply for all players. Some players would be thrilled with an opt-out system, but others would prefer things like opt-in, leader-chooses, variable team sizes, or other solutions. Also, letting players pick-and-choose what components of their clan experience they participate in is not a design philosophy we support. When you're in a clan, you should all be in it together! Even further, implementing a system that can enable undue pressure on players ("Opt out or we'll kick you" or "Give me Crab Claws or you can't come to war with us") falls far short of this mark.

That being said, we're in favor of adding more control and meaningful direction to Clan Wars. When we look into the next batch of Clan Wars features, that will be the time to reconsider things like opt-out systems, and possibly come up with better solutions that encourage everyone in their Clan to stick together and participate no matter what. We'll see what happens!

We'll keep tabs on any feedback and ideas you guys come up with for future Clan Wars improvements. Keep the feedback coming.

Can't wait at all for the opt in out feature. My clan will start to war on a normal basis again once this feature is in place. Its the ONLY thing I wanted and everything else is a bonus.

Our clan was together for well over a year when clan wars were introduced. We wanted to remain competitive but we didn't want to force people to participate; especially if they had upgrades going on. This opt in/out feature will allow us to all play together again and our members to choose how often (is at all) they wish to war.

In my opinion, SuperSteve's comment in September was ridiculous. Giving people options is not a bad thing. If people tell their members "opt out or get kicked", the members have three options: 1) opt out. 2) get kicked. 3) leave the clan for one that doesn't operate that way.

It looks very likely that this option will be introduced and I think it's great.

Clans with a balance between farming, warring perhaps casual play would definitely benefit from having the option to opt out of battle.

Exactly! Now people get to do the same thing but they dont have to drop hundreds of trophies. This is exactly why the updated is likely to be added.

Opt out would be a nice feature, why does it annoy you so much? Just don't case about that, where's the problem?

Open your eyes...COC never intended to have fools attacking with archers and barbs. Look at the last changes...faster shooting ATs, extra mortar, and now level 13 cannons. It seems to me that farming by barching is a glitch that COC is trying to fix. Now we even have WAR farming....just sad.....The game is called CLASH OF CLANS, not CLASH OF THE FARMERS!! I bet you would be good at Hay Day!!

If you think that BArch (with 8-10 wallbreakers) is useful just to destroy mines and extractors that's fine, it's your limit.

In gold league and below for a th8/9 and probably also th10 is the most efficient and flexible army composition.

As someone said before, if you want to spend >100k elixir and wait more than an hour to attack someone just to gain 50-100k elixir please go ahead, in an hour i get usually 600k of both gold and elixir in gold league
