Opting out of war!!!

If you don't want to war, leave the clan.

If you don't want people in your clan opting out of war, simply make a rule that anyone that opts out will be kicked.

Why do so many people want this option? If you don't want to war, leave the clan. If you want to farm, play HAYDAY. Before the Clan War update, everyone wanted clanwars, now you have people wanting out of wars. That is just plain silly. I guess those people who are afraid of a base with no D upgrades going on or a base with a centralized CC and a TH they can't snipe, I have two words of advice....MAN UP!!
You are probably a so called BARCHER or DE zapper or a TH sniper.
I really think that the word FARMING shouldn't even be in a REAL CLASHERS vocab. Supercell made Hay Day for you so called FARMERS. My opinion on Barchers... I think one way to get rid of barchers is make it where you lose if you don't get the TH. Easy fix...TH is worth 51% If I get a 75% but I don't kill the TH, I don't even call that a victory.
Sorry for the rant, but I booted a dude from my clan today who said he couldn't wait for the opt out option so he didn't have to war anymore...Here is a guy who leeched off my max troops so he could go out and raid and all I wanted from him was to get me 4 or more stars in war......I told him this is a WAR CLAN and then I BOOTED his punk ***.

Because it is annoying having to kick/invite elders and co leaders because real life issues got in the way.

If players could simply "toggle" themselves out, it would make the entire war opponent search easier....

You have over 450 war stars...How do you NOT see the logic behind allowing an opt out toggle?

Some people buy everything, and that's fine. Some people farm resources, and that's fine. Some people build bases in such a manner as to spawn a gem box dead center of the base, then build a new base around that gem box. That's fine, too... What makes you feel so entitled as to presume you can tell anyone how to play a game? There are no rules for methodology in Clash. If anyone has a negative affect on the experience, I'd say it is you. Here's hoping your whole clan opts out!

Better than I could have said it.

I farm with barch. I can fill my storages in 6 hours, on a good loot day. You want to build an army that takes an hour, for 200k loot, then go ahead. Everybody plays the game differently, and you have no right to tell someone how to play because it's not your method.

I really like that opt in/out so i wont need to leave clan for holiday trip or other occasional offline times

well, thats your opinion.

BUT IMO Clan war opt in and out is needed coz what if ur hero is upgrading .. cant use it in war. and opting out of war wont affect you badly in any way.. your clan is a war clan so no one would opt out assuming you do b2b wars. its actually even positive effects to ur clan in case emergencies hapen in rl and they can just opt out.....

We always have people in my clan upgrading heros. They tell me and I assign them an easier attack down the war map. Or I just tell them to clean up. Why opt out just because your Heros are upgrading?

In my clan we already have an OPT OUT.....In my clan we always have 38 members, we always war 35 on 35...we always tell people, if you're going on vacation or want to take a war off, drop trophies...get into the bottom 3 and then you won't be in the war. Simple as that.
I would rather have it to where the LEADER chooses the war(numbers) and who goes. I would be down with that.

Trolling......I don't think so. If you want to see a troll, look in the mirror .I am telling it like it is. COC fixed the all hog attacks by juicing the big bomb. It seems them finding a way to stop or slow down you and your barch buddies is taking more than one step. It will happen, and all you Barchers will be on here crying about how you hate COC because they took your glitch away.

OP there are several reasons to have the opt out/in button.

One is that some people do have real lives outside of c of c. Our clan wars twice a week and sometimes a war lands on a day when real world activities may prevent a member from participating. Out of town camping where no wifi is available (yes those places do exist!), traveling, work or school demands, family emergencies, etc. Sometimes a member is upgrading their spell factory and will have no spells available to war with or their Heros are being upgraded and a member feels that they will not be able to help to their fullest. Also realize that clan wars came on after many of us had been playing for a year or more in the same clan and a lot of friendships were formed and clan wars may not be to everyone's liking, but their friendship is still desired and is beneficial to the clan.

Our clan has found a work around that works great for us but it still requires briefly kicking those out that don't want to war and then inviting them back. An opt in/out button would be so much simpler.
