Uh what? It takes 4 months tops to max th8 even for a casual player.

Not true at all.
I maxed th8 except for a few lab upgrades in 4 months.
All skulls
Bk lvl10
max defense/traps

it doesn't really take that long.

th9? that will take me some time. even with 5 builders, the heroes and walls are the bottleneck at th9.

Actually, yes, quite true, for most players. I'm talking about adults who have other things to do besides dedicating their entire life to clash. For a teenager it might be fine spending 4 months and 12 hours a day raiding but anyone who has a job or family isnt going to be spending much more then 30 minutes playing the game a day.

Minimum you'll need 3mil gold and you will also need th8. Play the game the way you feel is right so that it stays interesting for you.

Hey forumers, ive just been wondering what the minimum reqs are before upgrading to th 9, as im getting really bored here at th 8. state what level defenses should be, troops ( im in a farming clan), spells and other stuff. thank you.

Max everything if you can but if you cant half lv8 walls and max defences + max elix upgrades

Most people are always Gonna say everything. The loot penalty is better at th8 so just do everything. I've been debating wheter to goto th10 or not but Im Gonna wait to finish legos and level 15 heroes.

I would max everything besides heroes(but get to five)walls and troops(all elixer upgrade should be maxed and de troops should be lvl3 for hogs and minions.

I'd say get all your defences maxed as-well as all your elixir lab upgrades. Minions to lvl 4 is also helpful along with hogs. Do 50-75% of skulls before upgrading and while your TH is upgrading keep farming for them. BK to ten is also a priority. If you've got all that done I say go for it!

Considering it takes just over 112 million gold to upgrade to all skulls at TH8, it would take almost 6 months to a year of consistent raiding good loot bases in conjunction with collectors to get enough to pull that off.

Yet, I maxed all structures, including walls, in 91 days...

This is all it boils down to. There is no sense in grinding yourself to death in this game to fulfill a norm.
