Tell you what. Try a Rovio or TinyCo game.
Get bombarded with vid ads, premium currency ONLY items, on top of all the ways that every freemium (including clash) tries to entice you into spending gems/diamonds/clams/whatever.
Clash only has the last one, and is entirely optional. Probably owes a good chunk of its success to it.
Of course waiting 45 mins for a spell is boring. 11.25 mins not so bad. You decide how much your waiting time is worth.
Next time clash seems unfair and greedy, imagine next update there is lv11 barracks, that train 15% faster. Only 700 gems.
TH10s with 50+ hero levels, 9.5s with 40+, silent noobs<> needs you!

No. If they were greedy, they would do a update every year.
They're not being greedy, they are just a successful business.

Haha, the common supercell is greedy fallacy. They aren't running a non-profit. A proper bussiness is one that comes out with continually better products, one that does not will fail very soon. I'm very sure that they have the profit in mind, which means a even better product.

People keep saying that because they don't appreciate the update (too small, doesn't apply to them, new ways to spend gems) but you have to realize that they must be extremely careful or sudden changes can mess up the game forever. I like their gradual approach, look how much new content we got last year.
