My TH9 Diamond defender was originally a Hybrid base, before the loot system was revamp.is this a Trophy or a Farming base? So confused jun..but nice Base anyways...
And they asked for a th8 version of my th9 diamond defender, soo i assume they want a hybrid version.
But yah, just shift the TH out and it will be a farming base.
And if you are not informed.
Hybrid base is basically a base that protects both resource as well as town hall.
I personally don't think hybrid bases are that effective after the loot system revamp though.

do you have any TH8 base which is suitable for Farming which protect Resources and centralize CC? As well as well position AD?
I will recommend the Pokeball.
But if you wish to go deeper, I have a few questions for you.
1) By resources, do you mean DE and Gold only ?
Or is elixir important to you as well ?
2) Whats your level of defense and walls ?
Especially your splash towers.
Problem with pokeball: 2 lightning spells kill all 3 mortars and archers proceed to dominate you.
Yup, the main weakness of the pokeball is that the mortars and wizard towers are side by side.
But what you've said..
Are you referring to the TH7 pokeball or TH8 pokeball ?
I doubt even with TH7 pokeball's mortar position, 2x Lv6 lightning can clear them.. ?
Here was a TH8 defense where I was defending without 2 mortar, guess how many storage did I lose ?

Imo, for farming, I tink the lone mortar can replace the TH and barb king will take the place of the mortar. That's my take anyway. Will try this base out later on. Working on my new TH8 Labyrinth. Awaiting more raids to see how it does.
1) DE,Gold and Elixir is important to me..ofcoz DE and Gold is my main priority.
2) My 3 Mortars are Max /2 WT are Lv.6 and one is upgrading level Lv5 /2 AD are Lv6 and one upgrading to Lv5/ 2 Tesla are upgrading to Lv4 and one Tesla remains Lv1 , and for Cannon and AT remains Lv.8.
This is because i just starting to Max my Defences after i upgrading my Wall to Lv.8 Skulls walls (100%).For the mean time i am Farming for Gold...

Haha yup, I will also say Mortar replace TH, and you can place your favorite BK beside the 3rd elixir storage if you want hehe
Its okay haha, go on and develop your Labyrinth base
Don't need to test the th8 diamond defender for me haha.
On a side note, I would suggest you to have atleast 1 or 2 builders permanently on tesla, hope you don't end up a maxed th8 without maxed tesla haha.
For your case, I will recommend these configurations
Use 1G if your 3rd AD is upgrading, and you do not want funneling.
Use 1H if your 3rd AD is upgrading and you want funneling.
Use 1L if your 3rd AD is of a lower level, and you do not want funneling
Use 1M if all 3 of your AD are maxed.
Funneling, IMO, is stronger than none-funneling, but will require a higher level of defense from your base.
1G) TH8, 2AD, No Funneling, increase protection for Elixir
1H) TH8, 2AD, Funneling with Cannon
1L) TH8, 3AD, No Funneling, Increase protection for Elixir, 3rd AD low level.
1M) TH8, 3AD, Funneling with Cannon
