All style, Fighter jet layout. Not the greatest defense. Suggestions?

Put your CC inside, its crucial.
But if you clan is inactive, then just leave it outside then.

Splash towers like the wizard towers are the best protectors for your resource, you are putting them too far and too exposed from your resources.

Having resources centralised is good such that enemy have to break multiple layers in order to even hit one storage, but the issue is that your defense and walls levels are still rather low, so it would be rather easy for enemy to break into mid, and once enemy reach your mid, all your resource is vulnerable. So I would suggest to segment the storage even further.

Focus on splash towers upgrade first.

Put TH outside, don't waste walls on it.

I'm trying to do the hybrid version of the diamond defender one for townhall 8 but has proven difficult with less defences and walls to use, if someone could do it for me and post it on here or PM it to me that would be great.

I have been using a similar core and anti-hog layout for TH9 for a few weeks now. I call it a Star Base, but it was definitely inspired by your Pokeball.

My trophy count is too low to see too many hog attacks (and my x-bows are still upgrading), so I have limited data on how well it holds up, but I am pleased with how it is working so far.

Probably not. Juliana isn't TH8 any more. Probably no more TH8 from now on.
