I have been testing the battleship design for TH7 for quite sometime. I made some modifications to it which work really well. It took me to crystal with everything maxed out except mines/collectors.

Let me know what you think.

I had recently moved to TH8 and I am attaching a slight variation to the battleship (testing a few things on the base, as you can see from the 'newer' walls).

Thus far, it's holding up good ... Raiders haven't been able to get at all storages. I would appreciate any comments or observations ... This base is still evolving as I'm new to TH8 so will probably shift a few thing here and there.

I've tried, but its really weird and imbalance, as th9 has 4 storages, and the splashes gets pushed out alot :/..

Junliang, do you think that there is any possible way of changing the pokeball for town hall 8 so that the king and drill are inside? Or am I just wasting my time trying to fit all of it inside the walls? Please and thank you

If you are farming, I strongly advise you not to waste your heroes for defenses lol.
But de drills wise, if you have abundance of elixir, you can swap a elixir storage out for de drill
Since ya, DE is hard to come by at TH8, even harder than elixir.

Junliang, why do you waste the defensive potential of the Barbarian King in your base design? Major flaw in an otherwise excellent design IMO.

Because my BK is use for raiding. I wouldn't want to come online, only to find my BK sleeping/recovering.
Thats my priority anyways.

Of course, just less effective, as the pokeball really focus on splash damage.

TH7 wise, getting to ~1,200 comfortably shouldn't be a problem, your modification looks fine.

Im currently looking for a new base and can you help? Thx alot if you do.Do you have any town hall lvl 8 farming base designs that have air defenses,mortars,and wizard towers that are in a triangle? And the base is still a pokeball? Also i like bases that dont have airdefenses, mortars,and wizard towers that are at the edge of the base.

Those are indeed the requirement for a "good" base.. but it really depends on your trophy range as to whether to push in your splash towers, or push in your air defs.
If you really want all the mortars, wiz, air def in the inside, then whats on the outside ? Storages ?

I am a maxed th7 with my upgrade finishing in 4 days. I have filled my storages and I'm ready for the big day. But I'm at a loss at what base to use. Theres yours (which i like), Goodguys (which i also like), theres Pingfao's and more. I would love it if you could give me some idea of what to do and what to choose!

Lol, I can't really help you on that now, its really up to your preference and choice :X

But since you are starting th8, you need to protect elixir, as well as gold equally, so if you are using the pokeball, you can try 1G or 1L.

The 1B) TH7, if you have atleast 1 point defense upgrading is doing miracles for me.

I can beat TH8's and some TH9's without much effort. While protecting everything important.

I've been using your th7 base for quite some time now and its really helped me tons
but i was wondering if you could suggest a base for me which has de protection and can be used for trophy pushing\im a completely maxxed th7 except for my collectors
ive got 30 days worth of collectors to do so i wanted to push meanwhile
also i have a barb king lvl 3 so wntd to upgrade him along with the hogs and hence the de protection rqst...

-Trophy hunting isnt recommend for a th7, unless you are talking of hitting like 1,800 ? Which should be achievable by targeting exposed TH, and winning through Offense only, so you can still run a farming base.
-Defending your DE while trophy hunting ? Lol.
I would just suggest you to use 1B lol.

Just a quick question for TH7 Pokeball Base Design.

Ain't those 3 mortars in the middle can be easily be destroyed by 3 lvl 5 lightning spells?

I'm using it currently (loving it much) and so far never once an attacker hit those 3 mortars with lightning spells, so I kinda wondering about it.

As you said, you have never been hit by 3 light.
With higher risk, comes higher return
So yea, no pain no gain !

Awesome job on hitting crystal league as a TH7 !

It looks like a great anti-giant/healer base haha ! with the traps and giant ai luring defenses.

Try shifting your lab to top left to make your CC even more un-lurable ?
Otherwise, looks good !

TH8 variation wise, looks okay.
I see you are playing around with the walls to try and defend the top right and bottom left area more.
The single compartment with AD looks like something short term..

You can try just enclosing a builder hut against the top right and bottom left wall if you want.
Else continuing experimenting with the walls techniques

Nope its not meant to be anti hog.
The xbows and mortars are too close. But if you modify it slightly, then i think yes, it can be anti-hog if you want.

Hybrid version I've only climbed up till crystal 1 with it, but ya, the TH isn't centralised, so don't expect it to be a full fledge trophy hunting base.
