You probably won't notice a difference since you are already in an english speaking country but the change is clearly visible on non-english countries though. I used to see other languages on my chat but now all I see are my countrymen recruiting and chatting..

I notice this too. Now, I found Indonesian players all time in Global. Good thing too ! At least now I know if someone cursing or talked obscenity.

Im still in English global (which could also he called pinoy global now...) while I'm Dutch...

I gotta feeling it's sorta like local leaderboards. (players). They take your country, and bunch up the players to form a leaderboard. I feel like global takes a majority of the players and puts them in a "country" global. So that's why you always have Malaysians in english global.

When I got to Japanese server i only get Japanese speaking people.
Norsk is still the same.
Spain I get spanish speaking people only.
not sure.

Unlike leaderboards which deal with largely static information, global is a different creature and should not be dealt with the same way. Many Malaysians like myself are English speaking and whilst fluent in Malay (and a third heritage language) would prefer to be in an English global as it allows for better interaction and recruitment opportunities.

What is also distressing about the pigeonhole approach to global is that the ethnic Chinese Malaysians are missing. Most of these would have Chinese set as their default language in their CoC app settings. I suspect these chaps have been migrated to the PRC and Taiwanese servers?

Supercell, if you really need to have a pigeonhole global - let the players have the option of going with a local or international global. Do not just shanghai us off to a global you think appropriate - it may not be a proper fit for a variety of reasons!
