im Malaysian, doesnt matter how many time i restart CoC, ill always on global full with Malaysian. This happen after short maintenance earlier. Even in several malaysian's coc facebook group discuss the same thing. Everybody realise it. But i cant seem to find any announcement made by SC regarding this.

I'm sorry that this came without a warning. After the last maintenance break (20/02), we moved Philippines, Malaysia and Indonesia to separate chat channels instead of utilizing the same English channel. Since the user base in these countries is pretty big, it made sense to create specific global chats for the players in these countries.
This is not something new as many other countries and regions also have their own chat server. it would be impossible to have all the countries in one giant server, not only would it mean having the Global servers running out of memory quite often, but it would also make the communication a complete chaos with so many diverse languages all in one place.

In Help And Support, it says you're stuck on the global of the country that you started playing Clash on.

Same thing for Pinoy Global Chat. Everyone in global is speaking my native language. Thank you Supercell

before this, english global full with emm.. english speaking? or pinoy, indonesian, singaporean, etc2..
suddently today after maintenance, everybody speak malay on english global.
not only me,its everyone.
our logal facebook group full with this thread.

It looks like COC based your global language when you first installed COC or based on your ip address location which i assume you are currently in Malaysia

I like the idea that everyone is separated because pinky/indo/malay dominates the english chat sometimes. but i wish theres an option to actually go back to the US or English chat forums

Why not add a seperate language option for global. Here you can add every common language while the ingame language is only in the few ones that have been translated by Supercell.
