When a clan like Inthedark perfects another clan in war that has all th10 bases it shows the imbalance of defense versus offense. There are no good anti lavahound bases because you cant make one due to the imbalance of lava hounds at the moment. Look up hulkfilies or the clashheads clan war video recaps. They three star every single max th9, and some on the first try.
To 3-starred a maxed-out-th10 well-designed base should be possible. I'm not saying to make it easy, but right now it's only possible with lavaloonions (you have to be very skilled and it won't work against every base design).
By ground it's impossible, and having cannons 13 now will make it even harder.
I agree with OP ground troops need a buff. Let's hope that we get something else in this respect in this update. The healer change is just not enough.![]()
For ground attacks, more defense levels will likely only increase the reliance various strategies have on Golems.
I often use GoViz. I can 3 star weak Th10 bases and occasionally a mid-Th10. However, when tackeling a maxed base I suffer a sharp drop if I do not bring a 3rd golem (normally I do two).
A not so uncommon strategy is to great 4-5 golems now. Which I imagine, would be more likely if they add even more DPS to defense. So unless they add other levels to other troops, its going to make th10 even less diverse
