A high level air defense chews them up quick and most people have their air defenses relatively centralized or widely spread out so you can either deploy it early and hope it helps your troops get to the center then get killed or deploy it late after the air defenses are taken out and most likely so is most of your attack because you sacrificed 14/28 slots to a healing unit and lost dps. Once you hit 4 air defenses there is really no spot for it in an attack. There's a reason no one really uses them. They suck. Not worth the 14 slots they use up.

This happened to Apple in the past where a bug resulted in early patch note release.
They probably planned to release this update Jan 21, but had some delays, then they accidentally released what they already had typed up.

Does anyone know if it's only the leaders that control who is in war, or does it apply to co-leaders as well? I know it's early and maybe this information isn't available yet, but I'm curious.
Thats not really true, yes the AD can take them down pretty fast, but as all in this game you can plan you strategy around it, you can put a hound to tank or you can destroy 2 f the 4 AD before deploying the healer (which mines won't kill and has "upgraded AI"), also, half of the raid is not about DPS but of your troops surviving.
Anything in this game is useless if you don't know how it works.
