Unless you have properly messed up your attack, your wizards should be able to take down a CC in no time, even if it is a dragon, as I explained in 'Deployment?', the best place to attack is in line with the CC, this is so it draws your attack into the core and not off to the side.

Hopefully this answers your question trickster,
    Cheers
I believe luring is necessary especially if you have no idea/clue what the cc troops are. A bunch of wizards would kill your golem before it gets killed. A dragon wouldn't be a big problem compared to 2 or 3 lv5 wizards.

    no lure.

Luring is definitley not necessary. All you need is the Wizards behind the golwms under a rage when the cc pops out and your set. I use level 6 wizards in the cc so that also helps.

I used 2 golems, 2 pekkas, 20 wiz, 5 wb, 2 rage 1 heal, 1 cc pekka, it was decent in wars and so will be good in trophy pushing, good to practice with this comp because ever since moving to th9, this comp has started to get me 90%+ on th9's around my defence strength. I only have built the AQ and 4th spell, so I still have A higher ceiling with higher heroes and 220 camp space, but you want th8
What I can say is that comp is good at getting 2 stars off th9's if you use advanced gowipe, it's otherwise a 1 star, as a th8 i used 3 pekkas and 12 wiz early on with wiz in the clan castle and found it much harder for stars against th9's in wars, the comp I stated worked much better for me.

Yes don't lure, unless the clan castle is in a really bad spot

I usually don't lure with gowipe. Its too time consuming, and I need all the time I can get.

I find almost always when I mess up gowipe, is due to wall breaker error. I have a misstep with the wall breakers, and it messes up the whole attack. Wall breaker deployment is key with gowipe.

    yes it is effective

Well I am a Th 8 myself and in cw I always yse gowipe and in my opinion its the best att. Strategy there is for a th8 here is my army comp.
    2 golum
    2 lvl 3 pekka
1 lvl 5 pekka in cc
    18 wiz lvl 5
    8 wall breaker lvl5
    2 arch lvl5
    2 rage lvl5
    1 heal lvl5
Most of the time I dont lure out cc troops as it is time consuming but if it is easily lurable than u must lure out cc troops.
I always deploy all 3 pekka and bk lvl 10 together some ppl wont agree with this idea but find it amazing after deploying golum and wiz I save 5 or 4 wiz in reserve which I later delpoy behind pekkas and king when all 3 pekkas and bk with 4 wiz behind them enters in to the core I drop a rage and u will be amazed to see the mayhem at that time ita so cool but making the way for your pekka in to the core is a tough task which can bw achieved with practice only.
Heal is for a group of wiz ofcourse u have to drop it accorsung to mayhema and other rage is for killing opp. Cc troops (when ur wiz r behind the golum and cc troops r coming )
Rest u will learn with practice

    Thnx

Usually i bring 2 golems and pekkas, with 10 Wbs, 15 wizards, and 10 archers, and it's good to get 2 stars with it.
