Don't you guys feel like Support is getting a little too ban-happy? This feels like some really really minor stuff to be banning for. I know for a fact there'd be riots if us forum mods were that strict.
I definitely agree. A few weeks ago our clan faced an opponent who had a members with an inappropriate anatomical base. We have a few very young kids in the clan so the leader took screenshots and reported him. Our clan is called Koi Palace and our leaders prep day base has a bunch of fish drawn with his walls. The leader of the other clan drew fish with his walls with x's for eyes and wrote dead koi at the bottom of his base in walls. We all thought it was funny and well done and pretty clever. I don't know why our leader decided to report him along with the inappropriate base(maybe because he really loves his fish lol) but we never thought it would go through but to all of our shock he was actually banned from the war. That seemed a little over zealous tbh. I wonder if these reports are actually being looked at or if they just ban everyone who gets reported.

More of the comments have been "you knew what you were doing, sūck it up and get on with your life" than "that ban was totally deserved you are so insulting"
Honestly the distinction between the word and the intent is trivial to me, banning for either is ridiculous in this case IMO.

And as far moving on is concerned, sure, that's probably what the OP will have to do. However, that's really easy to say when you're not the one being banned over something so silly. I think OP has every right to be upset about this, and coming to the forums to express that is just fine as far as I'm concerned. I think a debate over support's recent bannings needs to be had, and hopefully it could lead to some reforms on what they are willing to ban for.

In other news just keep rolling with these threads and associated.

I have found the last few days of clashing rather interesting myself, mass game bans for no reasons, everyone screaming TOS, attention to ⓗⓐⓒⓚⓢ, then the icing on the cake Ov posting an exploit video.

    Good Times,

The thing is, it's clearly an insult towards the other clan. If someone is offended and reports them SC will act upon it. We see these sort of topics regularly now... Clan info should only be used for clan info. You start going into what is acceptable and what isn't and you get yourself into an even bigger mess. They have a zero tolerance policy for this kind of behaviour.

It's so bad though that I wonder if the 'offense' is actually looked at, or do they ban based on just the report.

Utilizing my mad MS Paint skillz I am able to edit pretty much any clan description and submit a 'screenshot' of said description. If I were to actually go through with it, do you think the clan would be banned just on the 'evidence' alone?

Couldn't agree more. The frequency & volume of bans of late appears to have spiralled out of control. Often due to the most minor of offenses, where one could argue no offense / wrongdoing even took place whatsoever.

Perhaps SC could invest the time & effort spent unecessarily banning players into something a little more resourceful, such as dealing with the flagrant use of 3rd party software in game & dishing out bans to guilty individuals where appropriate.

    I also second this.

The problem is that they don't. I've been curious about what they ban for, so I've sent in a few reports about descriptions/names with varying levels of rudeness/inappropriateness, and they didn't ban for quite a few of them that I thought they would (not going to post them on here, for obvious reasons). I think the Supercell staff who decide bans are rather like the mods on the forums: here, one mod might let something go, another might think it's worth a warning, and a third might give you an infraction for it (purely hypothetical, not necessarily referring to anyone/anything specific). Similarly, it seems like one or two of the staff members are pretty sensitive, while some others are much more easygoing.

Sorry but you may need to do some more research.
