I'm not so sure that it is 'so easy' for a TH9 to two star a TH10. Well from personal experience I have not been able to 2 star every TH10 I have come across in wars. And they aren't maxed TH10's. True - It could be that I am not great at attacking. But hey not everybody is.

I'm not sure that GoWi varient is that much of an attack that requires skill. True I have managed to mess it up quite badly a few weeks ago but generally they work quite well. I can't see why people don't use other mixes of troops myself. Maybe you have other strategies you prefer than Gowi and lavaloonion that you would like improved?

Vote, hopefully Supercell brings out some higher level troops for town hall 10. We should get max troops, th9s should not. I mean, why did you guys go to town hall 10 if you are just the same as town hall 9?
if th9 didn't have any max troops, how would we attack max th10s?

I personally LOVE my lvl6 balloons and if supercell took that away and made it for th10, i would cry and probably quit the game. now adding a level for each town hall is different.

IMO, Gowi takes more skill than the other attacks that are viable, maybe drag and dragloonion are up there too, but they can only be used on certain layouts. I thought that hogs took quite a lot of skill when facing max town halls, as you could get two or three stars but you had to plan a lot and you had to be very cautious about where giant bombs are etc (of course due to their constant nerfs this strategy is pretty much impossible to use now).

When looking at what else is available you're left with Balloonion which is quite hard to two star a well designed layout and it is more of a one star attack (unless you have max heroes). Then we have lavaloonion which does not take any skill at all really, once you get the timing right you will always get two stars at least and usually get three against max ths. Either balloons lvl 6 need a nerf and then bring lvl7 loons that are slightly worse than the original lvl 6 ones, or just nerf lava hounds to the same extent as hogs. Because with hogs at least it took skill to three star a max town hall, whereas lava hounds do not. I guess if everyone starts using them at non-max town hall then we will see the complainers rise up and get them nerfed as well.

This really is just a thread about nerfing lava hounds after all. Either you're mad because you keep getting attacked and losing because of a bad base or just can't figure out how to attack with the strategy correctly yourself. Air attacks were terrible before lava hounds came around. You could farm with them and managed two stars occasionally, but now with lava hounds you can usually manage two stars and get the occasional three star. That's the same way it is with GoWiPe/GoWiWi, with skill you get two stars mostly and the occasional three star. These two attacks strategies are balanced well so no one wants a nerf but those who whine about losing to them.

I'm not sure that I agree with you. It is very easy to three star with lavaloonion, whereas it takes a lot of skill and luck to three star with gowi variants. Mass drags (an air attack) took skill to two star and required very careful base selection, dragloonion (also an air attack) took a lot of skill as well to two star. Balloonion (also an air attack) was quite hard to two star unless you have high lvl heroes.

Now let's get back to the issue we were discussing; max town hall should have max troops whereas non-maxed should not.

Like I said in a comment earlier, only six of twenty two up-gradable units (troops, spells, heroes) can be maxed at Town Hall 9, the rest at Town Hall 10. Healers are useless, so for our purposes it's more like 5. So more than 75% of maxed level troops/spells are available only at town hall 10. it's more than reasonable for a town hall 9, aka non-maxed in your lingo, to have access to just under 25% of the maxed troops. What more do you want? Town Hall 9's should still have a chance to two star town hall tens if the attack is launched well in the same way that any town hall still has a chance to beat someone higher than them. Balloons allow that to happen at Town Hall 9 because of how big of a gulf there is between 9 and 10. Balloons seem to be the unit you really care about, and you want to nerf them because woe to the town hall 10 that can't defend against air attacks. Hence my earlier point.
