I ignore the cc troops to a point. I use lightning spells or rage. Depends on the layout of the base. I have even used freeze if they are ground troops and wander past an inferno at the wrong time.

I like luring them but I found that as a TH8 I never needed to if I wanted two stars (but maybe it's necessary for the third star).

It's better to lure on a base like a TH10 with infernos ( or bring a lightning, but this doesn't work on all troops). Gowipe/gowiwi is Hero dependent and if you're aiming to get to the core by letting the cc suck you in(like a witch), it sometimes backfires as they go way too deep (where they trigger skeleton traps too). That's usually like 1 star or even fail, as the Heroes get stuck and not dealing damage at all to defenses and just occupied by cc troops for a couple seconds. Luring keeps Hero AI less random and better control. More experienced Gowiwi Attackers use a spread attack that knocks out the side buildings and defenses, which directs the main wave with Heroes headed towards the middle.

i stronlgy suggest to lure them out if possible using a couple of giants or hogs.if the opponents cc have a witch,some wizards or a dragon could do a lot of damage is you dont lure them out

ever seen what 3 raged wizards do to a drag? it aint pretty...but in all seriousness I agree just never do it myself.

Once in war, my clan members forgot to fill my war cc and during war I had one of the opponents using half his army trying to lure non-existent cc troops...

I guess he doesn't know the CC trigger radius.. Always will be crappy attackers, don't compare with them.

I suggest not luring the CC troops using GOWIPE or GOWIWI. As a TH 8, you don't have the troop capacity to effectively lure and kill the CC then have a successful raid. If you are concerned with the CC troops, bring a lightning spell to kill all the small troops in the CC.

Typically, your GOWIPE army is strong enough to mow down the CC troops without much problem. I always try to start my GOWIPE raid on the side nearest the CC so my army is taking on the CC troops at full strength.
