Fairly new TH 10 here,using loons for farming.Are minions really worth maxing?
100k de seem kind of high. If there is a noticable improvement at lvl6?

You will upgrade them eventually, and yeah imo it's worth it, 100k will be easy when you get 3 drills to max.

I'm finding it a grind to get 40k for hogs to level 4 xD

Ofc it worth it and you will notice it after your first loonion attack with max minions

100 k de isn't really that difficult to get since you can get 3 level 6 drills at th 10. Now, after you reach maximum capacity army camps and level 6 minions, your balloonion army will change dramatically.

Like most troops in CoC, the maxed unit is always going to be the best (duh) but you typically get more "bang for your buck" on the last upgrade.

With that said, I think the minion is probably the worst maxed unit upgrade based on the chart:

10k additional each upgrade which is reasonable; then it goes from 40k to 100k for max. The problem is you get virtually the same bump from 4-5.

My thought is that I'll upgrade minions last because I want the Lava hound and Golem upgrades first maxed, along with my wizards. Then I'll upgrade the Minions for Lavaloonion attacks.

The beautiful thing about this game is it's not a 1-size fits all. If you don't use the minions, don't upgrade them. But if you really enjoy their attack, you should. It's all based on your playing style, which is why I love this game. And you can switch styles and try different things out very easily without giving up too many resources.

Im doing it atm.
Other people do them first even, and say that it is very noticeable, I myself notice the difference whenever I have them in cc.

Mini's area totally worth it IMO, I'd max them. Great in lavaloonion and your clannies will love them for donations.

Thanks everyone for the imput,ill do them after my lvl5 golem reserch finish in the lab then ill do hounds to lvl3
